July 15, 20206 yr comment_831487 I hurt my foot running and didn’t want to lose the gains i’ve made so I went out on the bike today. i rode my old mountain bike because I figured the extra weight would help. Report

July 15, 20206 yr comment_831509 oh for sure, those early 90s mountain bikes were basically 26" road bikes with knobby tires. I threw a goofy touring handlebar setup, because the frame is way too big for me to use with drop bars, and I wanted to ride it longer distances and be able to change up hand positions. Report
July 20, 20206 yr comment_831809 Decided to ride to our vacation spot today. Didn't look at time/distance/speed once during the ride. Just rode at a pace that I thought would allow me to finish. An unexpected detour added about five and a half miles and an additional big hill or two but I survived, so no complaints. Report
July 20, 20206 yr comment_831818 And I feel like 14 miles at 11 mph is an accomplishment Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Report
July 20, 20206 yr comment_831835 ^^ It's all relative, Dan. I've got a friend in town that routinely goes out and rips off 40+ mile rides at averages well over 20mph. Report
July 22, 20206 yr comment_831982 You know that's not a bike, right? And that you're not supposed to have a beer while driving a car? Report
July 22, 20206 yr comment_832004 Incremental gains. 69% humidity doesn't seem like a lot, but ugh. Report

July 28, 20206 yr comment_832489 Today's ride on the new to me Lemond: 17.3 miles, 13.6 mph, 798 calories, 589ft elevation gain Report
July 30, 20206 yr comment_832602 You had very little elevation so I am wondering if you hit 33 and 34 mph on the flats? That is some impressive hammering! Report
August 3, 20206 yr comment_833029 Riding without using the small ring, so I'll be ready when the mid-compact gets here. Report
August 7, 20206 yr comment_833320 I just went to a 120/6 stem. Got me a little more reach, and a little lower. My Ultegra group is working it's way through the covid affected international air shipping. Did 25 miles/1000 Ft of climbing today. Averaged 14.9mph. Still avoiding the small ring. Report
August 7, 20206 yr comment_833322 If you want to go even more stretched out, Dan, I've got a spare 130mm stem. Report
