Definitely putting this on the list of builds!

I had some comments back so I've made the following changes:

• I reversed the SE and balanced outputs
• I fixed a mistake in the schematic for the negative off-board voltage regulator

This is a good reason to get back into dynamics, awesome work Kerry.

Alpha will only do a 1000 pc order last time I checked.

 

How about some 4channel TKD pots?

We'll have to look into options.  I've sent the board out to manufacturing so we can prototype it

maybe i just got a bad batch, but i had a lot of trouble with the Alpha pots and plan to stop offering it in the GS-X mk2. A large percentage of them have a noticeable lump at a particular point when turning it. Sometimes you have to have a large knob attached first and then turn it slowly to find the spot. but around half of them ended up in the trash 

It must have been a bad batch as these work perfectly.  Some of my first ones had the center bump but I returned all of them.

I'm actually super proud to see HC finally embracing the newer tech. How do these SMPS'es look under the scope? Does extra after-regulation help?

Not going to be easy. I started thinking about it. A couple of daughter boards might do the trick. It would be nice to have a modular solution.

I'm in for whatever group buys emerge from this terrific design.

The design was done in DipTrace v3.  I've been using it for a while and like it.

The best layout software is the one you know how to use
