It has definitely been a wild ride with many twists and turns.  Fun as hell to watch, unless you are invested in a team that comes up short in one of those twists and turns (Mexico).

What a match! The "small" teams are selling very expensive their defeats.

Missed both games due to work today, except for hearing the last 30 minutes where Germany won. Pretty amazing stuff.

What a game! If Neuer did not play sweeper, Germany would have lost that game. Definitely the man of the match IMO. Schurrle's goal was just incredible but if the pass was not behind him, my guess is the Algerian goalkeeper would have stopped it. Ozil's goal was pretty nice too and he needed that to build his confidence back up. Mertesacker absolutely sucked, not only slow but totally oblivious to what was happening in the game and Gotze looked like he was playing for Algeria given who he was passing to in the first half. Algeria played their hearts out and absolutely made a great showing. They played Germany much better than anyone else in the tournament.

Yep, its bean a magnificent tournament to date, and there is still more yet to come!
