The Elvis - banana cake, peanut butter frosting, candied bacon. We paired this with the bacon jam and found why Elvis died happy.

Fois gras on toasts with some vin rouge. Our Parisian friends brought four large cans of goose fois au torchon (encased in fat and wrapped in a towel). Amazing stuff, and even better with champagne but the red wine was open and handy.

Good foie gras is absolutely amazing. It's breakfast time here, and Spanish isn't nowhere near as copious as the US-UK one, but I could treat myself with a fair share of that. Oh, I already had breakfast

Hash and Bloody Mary's for breakfast. The hash is a Giada DeLaurentiis recipe we modified slightly. Bacon, potatoes, salami, bell pepper and spinach are the main components. And Debbie enjoyed some seafood with her beverage.

We made bangers & mash with onion gravy tonight. It was a nice stick to your ribs meal.

Clearly I am hungry (and a little buzzed from lack of sleep, too much work, and some IIPA), but I want a bacon and brisket roll stuffed with bangers and mash with onion gravy over the top.  NOW!!!

At "Wine Spectator" at CIA in Napa for a much delayed holiday work lunch. Cheese, chicken & tators, and a few bottles. Quite nice. 2010 Saintsburg Pinot Noir 2010 Provenance Cab 2011 Merry Edwards Russian River Pinot Noir

Had some gluten free pasta with some heavily garlicked Bolognese.  It was delicious.
