March 12, 20242 yr comment_930379 It is hard to beat a ribeye as a cut of steak....yummy chow! I tried sous vide on them a few times and finishing up over a very high flame or in an iron skillet, but IMHO the cut is so delicious it's not worth the climb vs simply cooking them... HS Report
March 18, 20242 yr comment_930753 We visited a local restaurant, Eau Tour, that I have been wanting to go to for a while. Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of the better halves' red snapper...it was the best cooked fish I have had in a long while. The duck confit looks rather drab but the sauce was amazing and the side was a grilled lettuce or cabbage layered like lasagna with delumpcious cheesy stuffs... Thumbs up to this joint if you find yourself in Houston. HS Report
March 22, 20242 yr comment_931011 Not now, but this morning. This is a new discovery for me from Trader Joe's. On a toasted, buttered bagel, it's fantastic! A little goes a long way. I'd imagine it'd also be wonderful on vanilla ice cream. Report
