Laughing at the New England comment, not the by hand comment.

Spent an hour and a half scraping ice off of the driveway after the storm late last week.  Now we're forecast to get 6" to 9" as a Christmas gift which wouldn't be so bad if we weren't supposed to travel tomorrow afternoon.  Here's to hoping it's over by noon, as predicted.

Send some of it west to the Sierras! Five ski resorts within an hour of me and all are ice atm. No snow on the east side of the valley to speak of, was 60f yesterday on the east side and the dirt-biking was great until the sun got too low!

I'd be happy to.  We've gotten about 6" already and it's still snowing hard.

Damn, that's cold! Temperatures Western EU can only dream about.

I can't remember the exact temp but I think at about -40f the moisture crystallizes out of the air. It's really neat, little sparkling things floating everywhere. Just don't have exposed skin.

It's been over two weeks since we saw temps above 0C.

At our place you constantly have 5-6C and A LOT of rain, which is ridiculous. 20 years ago there was no December without snow and ~ -5C and now this.

Not desperate for freezing cold, but some snow wouldn't hurt in December. Just for the sake of showing kids how it actually looks like.

Fucking hell, they named it already?  I don't want to be a victim of the Bomb Cyclone.  I'm going to go out and get some chicken right now, just in case.

Started snowing in earnest here around 8am this morning.  I'm planning to work a half-day and then head home.  Should be an interesting commute.

Good luck to all on the East Coast.  It was a chilly 40 this morning while walking the dog.
