Those prototypes have been more or less, unofficially, confirmed as such.

I have to say I don't like the new look and much prefer the 3G/GS over the 2G iPhone or the lost 4G prototype. I especially like the way the current ones feel in the hand.

I suspect they are secretly loving the buzz and hype and will whine and cry to keep up the appearance that they are not pleased. I think they see Android (starting with the Droid) as the first real threat to the iPhone for the first time since its initial launch.
