I pre-ordered for Kindle on my iPad.

Well, what did those that were waiting for this for so long think about the first ep? As an uninitiated viewer, I thought it was alright but this was more about introducing characters than anything. Fair amount of sex, but I was expecting more violence to go with it.

Frick. I forgot this started already. I must go watch the 1st episode now. Don't worry, Al, violence *should* be coming.

I'll be watching it in the next few days.

I needed the internets to keep up with all the different groups.

As Haj said, like winter, violence is coming. I've read the books and loved the first episode. I watched it again today. I love violence as much as the next guy but this story is more than just violence.

Going to watch it tonight, can't wait!

I actually need to get off my lazy butt and finish up the first book - I'm almost done. I need to allot more reading time into my day.

I'm not a big fantasy fan and haven't read the books, but I quite enjoyed the first episode. Totally forgot about it as well; but fortunately I had the DVD set to tape and it switched automatically.

I enjoyed it and will be watching it.

I read yesterday that it has already been renewed for a second season.

Read the books, they are great. As good as the first episode was, the book is better. If you need a copy, I think I have the first couple in paperback. I can send them to you. Let me know.

I agree with Tyrion, as good as the first episode was the books are that much better, well worth the read.

Killer first episode!

I can't get the way they did the credits at the beginning out of my head. Those maps with the towns that "geared up" was inspired IMHO!

Ok, ok, fine I'll read the books. I wish they were available as audiobooks but so far I can't find the beginning of the series on audible or anywhere else? Am I missing something?
