Yeah, even Chinese replicas of the 212 aren't cheap!

BTW, I like the view outside the windows :)  Nice area in which to listen

Ah - the good old battleship grey Cambridge Audio livery. It was panned by the reviewers, as were the buttons on the CD player (they described them as reminiscent of poking dead flesh). Very unfair, b

  • I dunno, can i post this here? The leather was just an idea - making some matching wood pulls would be cool - maybe when things die down at M&O of course my speaker cables are too short

Not the fanciest speaker or the most expensive one, but owning one pair of Vandersteen Treo CT and the Audio GD Master 10 integrated amp would make me very, very happy.

Holy creakin' bass cabinets!

The small PMCs have pretty damn good bass but those...

Are those the monitors that you place upside down to get the tweeters at the right level Dusty?

If you put them on any kind of stand, yes, otherwise they'd be up in the rafters, no?  But I live in a crummy non-bottom-floor apartment, I'm pretty sure I'd get assassinated if I even bought them.  I think a separate dwelling would come before $125,000 monitors.

That said, even if I had a proper studio with room treatments and whatnot, I'd still use them with the theory that more drivers with smaller travel == more linear bass, I.e. for deep bass, not exaggerated bass.  Mostly. ?

Silly man, obviously you're meant to build a high rise platform for your recliner.

Active crossover, 2400W for the bottom cab, 2400W for the bass units in the top cab, 550W for the mid and 275W for the tweeter.  330lb weight for the top cab and 308lb for the bottom (290 kg in all, 638 lb). And that is just one - double for stereo. Bit of an animal, really.

Oh yes - they are British :D

135dB at 1 metre for one. So 138dB for two. To find out how much blood can come out your ears and how quickly your eyes pop out.

I like the grab handles...as if these could be carried.   :D

I'm sure your countryman Hafþór wouldn't have any issues.

Well he's busy now, with all the claims of being a despicable human who has a track record of abusing women.

I have grab handles. I doubt anyone smaller than yourself could make them a useful feature though. :P
