Thanks for letting me know, even unintentionally. I'm buying and downloading the album. And I cannot agree more what you said about listening to them.

I ended up playing it twice through... for me this is unquestionably the best album they've made. And it was pretty well recorded to boot, demo-worthy for a metal album I'd say.

Heck! You are not helping me sir! I'm downloading it with shitty hotel Wireless... And me have to sleep in half an hour to get 6-7 hours sleep before work, have to being at work till tomorrow 6pm makes things worse. Not that I have a bad job, I have a great one, but...

I'm petting myself and keep saying "patience, child" to myself now. :)

Haven't listened to the music, but I like that cover.....

The National are very popular amongst indie hipster music snobs (and I don't mean that disparagingly -- more like, self-deprecatingly).

Thanks @Aura for waking me up again. Album is great so far, dark sounding, as it should be. And this album has the most relaxed upper mid range and treble record/mastering in the whole discography of them.

Come To My Garden. This album should have been a big hit. Track #1 Les Fleurs is particularly good.

I think Minnie just didn't want to be pigeon holed into one genre (R&B), at a time when record companies didn't know how to promote an artist that spanned multiple genres.

Can't stop listening to this. If you like P-Funk even a little bit, you owe it to yourself a sit-down with the new Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover).

Childish Gambino"Awaken, My Love!"

Thanks for the heads up, I feel like I haven't listened to any Childish in a few years, though it's probably been a few months. Did he go on a mini hiatus or was I just not paying attention?

Have y'all checked out Mac Miller's The Divine Feminine?

^ I heard they were dating. Seems a bit like a Julia Roberts/Lyle Lovett thing, but if they're happy that's all that matters.

Jeffy, is it even possible not to like P-Funk? I can still see my Mom cringe, every time I played Flashlight on my stereo.

Oh, your mom thought they were saying "fleshlight." I believe she had a glimpse of the future and was appalled at how much she was going to spend in batteries.

Don't even pretend that you don't know the Fleshlight doesn't use batteries.

Oh, right. You have the prototype with a hand crank... Kinda defeats the purpose, though.

They're all "hand cranked", and yes I own one. I'll be more than happy to pay for one for you. Luckily they have a 'Build your own' feature. That'll definitely come in handy for you, as they have one that looks just like Colin's butt, and an extra tight model, for those with a more compact endowment...

Let me know when to process payment for you.

These, along with the Stretch goat fucking posts... HC is on a roll. :D

Hey, I thought that goat fucking question was a legitimate inquiry.

Well Stretch, tell your "friend" that a Fleshlight is much less maintenance.

But it won't mow your grass.

This seems like it should be a euphemism for something indefinite.

"How was the film, Stretch?"

"Yeah, alright Steve mate. But it didn't mow my grass, eh?" * wink * leer *

I think you started something. Let's just throw that into some random posts and see where it goes.

Done. I'll let you find it.

I feel like "lawn" is funnier than "grass" here.

Lawn is the highbrow version.
