July 29, 20179 yr comment_770864 Well, those are the two best songs from the Coverdale era (those two and Mistreated), I think everyone prefered Machine Head era purp, though I prefer the early Rod Evans era. I have this weird list of bands I'd like to cover 4 songs of, each. Deep Purple is one of them. I would cover "Rat Bat Blue" -- before Helloween covered them, I thought I was alone in this. And yes, Soldier of Fortune is one of them, too. Report

My favorite South American pianist was Roberto Szidon, though. Szidon is kinda like Gould, though, in that you either love his interpretations or hate them. There is something very funny about much of it. I can't quite put my finger on it, either, but I flipped sides when I heard that boxed set.
