I liked it a lot, which probably means it's not proper Metal.

Wooo Good discovery !!! Thank you

It's like 80's glam or rock-metal... I´m thinking on Kiss, Van Halen....

Been listening to a lot of Airbag recently.  Bunch of best-era (WYWH, Animals) Pink Floyd obsessives married Porcupine Tree.  Never enough of this stuff.  I mean that synthesizer solo is a straight homage to Shine On You Crazy Diamond part 1, and the opening verse/chorus sounds like Porcupine Tree.

@mikeymad - that's seriously.. tasteful. Sounds like a Tarantino soundtrack waiting to happen. It's really interesting how the band members try not to step on each others' toes, impressive intra-band civility.

I don't know what I feel about it, but I couldn't stop listening, anyway.

what a great album, dare I say I prefer it over yankee hotel foxtrot

It is great! Not sure I'm with you on the latter part, but it's a judgement call ...

Could also be that the ghost is born is legit great sound quality. Pallas pressed and Kevin Gray cut, the thing has screaming dynamics. My YHF is whatever digitally sourced reissue from a few years ago :(

Gilliab Welch Harrow and the Harvest on vinyl. Not really into the whole folk/minimal thing but got this on recommendation and it’s fantastic. Sound quality is exquisite - Gillian essentially started up her on label specifically to cut and master the lacquer directly from the analog tape to her specifications, it’s incredible.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – It's Blitz!

I haven't listened to this one for a while... this is one of the rare occasions where the music critics and I agree (it made almost all the Best Albums of the Year lists when it was released). A gorgeous, exciting listen with impressive polish throughout. Just epic.
