December 14, 201114 yr I already got my gift. Woo hoo! We did a classical music exchange with jvlgato. I was listening to Living Stereo albums and having a great time last night Modest Mussorgsky - Pictures at an Exhibition, a Night on Bald Mountain, and Other Russian Showpieces [Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Fritz Reiner] (1960) Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov - Rimsky-Korsakov: Scheherazade / Stravinsky: Song of the Nightingale (Chicago Symphony Orchestra/Fritz Reiner) (1960) Hector Berlioz - Symphonie Fantastique (Boston Symphony Orchestra/Charles Munch) (1955)
December 14, 201114 yr It's christmas isn't it? Nothing causes me more reason to "drink to forget" than christmas. Carry on.
December 14, 201114 yr The first of my packages to jim should arrive any minute now. The remainder have to be packed and shipped, so they'll be there sometime after pigs learn to fly...
December 14, 201114 yr Glad you enjoyed them, faust3d! I got mine, too, but haven't had time to listen or post. They look great, though, and I'm looking forward to listening and posting soon!
December 15, 201114 yr The first of my packages to jim should arrive any minute now. The remainder have to be packed and shipped, so they'll be there sometime after pigs learn to fly... Yep, no moss growing under this boy. Actually arrived yesterday but I was just informed today. Thank you. P.S. The first of your packages goes out tomorrow.
December 15, 201114 yr I hit 5 liquor stores today and none will ship alcohol for me. But what I sent manaox2 already is nice enough without the alcohol, so I'm gonna stop worrying and drink the stuff myself, and then send him a souvenir from Mexico later. Cheers!
December 15, 201114 yr That's ridiculous. You just put the booze in a box and ship it without specifying the contents. Over think much?
December 15, 201114 yr That's ridiculous. You just put the booze in a box and ship it without specifying the contents. Over think much? USPS Employee: Is there anything liquid, fragile, or potentially hazardous in this box? Larry: Yes...I mean no! Damn it!
December 15, 201114 yr I'm worried about the trouble I'd get into if they break it and it leaks all over the place, so I get caught.
December 15, 201114 yr the laws may look tough but they're only going to prosecute people acting as unauthorized alcohol distributors ( = they havent paid a big tax to do it) you're fine.
December 15, 201114 yr In my world, we'd say you have an over-active superego. Just be sure to pack it well. Or buy two bottles ... you can drink one, you'll be able to relax a little bit, thus allowing you to ship the other. If you want to practice (systematic desensitization), you can ship one to me. Though I might have to charge you. Edited December 15, 201114 yr by jvlgato
December 15, 201114 yr USPS Employee: Is there anything liquid, fragile, or potentially hazardous in this box? Larry: Yes...I mean no! Damn it! Just wait until the claim for a dented cap!

December 15, 201114 yr Damn, reading this re-assures me that I chose the wrong specialty I dunno. You guys get all the glory (and it's well deserved, by the way). Besides, I never get paid when I charge people for stuff like that. The HMO insurance requires a prior authorization, and it never gets approved.
December 15, 201114 yr Peter: Your gift is on its way. I hope I don't get arrested. If it's not a dehydrated human head, you're fine.
December 15, 201114 yr just say glass...if they ask what kind, say SEX AIDS loudly...works even better if there's a line...
December 15, 201114 yr How about a human head preserved in bourbon? Or in cognac ... human head Griottines ... might make a good Manhattan! Edit: oops, Kirsch liquer, my bad! Edited December 15, 201114 yr by jvlgato
December 15, 201114 yr I had missed that Al's comment. I think mescal is the adequate liquor for that
December 15, 201114 yr I thought that How about a human head preserved in bourbon? What about Fernet Branca? I thought that would be a good way to use it up and clear up space in the liquor cabinet.
