  3. Not sure if this is the best place to continue this discussion....but I love love love this woman and her sarcasm. There's another clip I saw on FB where she goes on factually to show why he doesn't deserve it. But even this part is great.
  4. The problem is that there is people in Europe, and probably other continents, who believe he’s doing great for the interests of his voters. People that are willing to vote to parties in the extreme right to do the same here. And the amount of such people is increasing. Look at Argentina and how Trump bought time for Milei Such people may have influence to get a Nobel for Trump. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m very afraid I am not.
  5. If Henry Kissinger can get it.....
  6. Not a chance. He can talk all the talk he wants, the world does not believe his bullshit. I recently posted on Facebook: "How out of touch does one have to be, with how one is perceived by the world, to even fantasize about one's place in the world like this? He is literally getting people killed, illegally kidnapped, and trafficked, there is nothing "peace" about that. Release the Epstein files, MAGAt." The world won't put blinders on to the atrocities that he's committing on an accelerated basis TO HIS OWN FUCKING COUNTRY. And then there's the murdering of the Venezuelan fishermen. No, he won't be getting a Nobel Peace Prize just for stopping one war. Stop even acknowledging his fiction! We can't normalize his delusions of grandeur. That would be like stopping counting and saying there is no infinity.
  7. Eagle eye! Good catch. I’ve updated the image and added the missing R41–FB2–C16–C17 connections as you indicated. Thanks!
  8. I'm still getting better at it
  9. I believe R41, FB2, C16 and C17 are connected as red line shows.
  10. Time is sneaky.
  11. He has to live that long.
  12. I agree with you, Antonio. It's much more likely that he has Hegseth planning an invasion of Norway with the intention of taking over the Nobel and awarding himself one. Doug, I admire your sentiments. I'd much prefer that he does as you hope.
  13. Are you having a Good Time, San Carlos? The Sounds of Chicago And Steely Dan With Aja Vu
  14. 38 drivers not including the additional subs in the back. That is a lot of dust catchers...

  16. This has to be the week of stupid mods, cue this 727 in for full surgery and mods. Nothing abnormal on top but below I find this: Hmmm not quite stock that input wiring In and output wires from the volume pot were simply cut and this new monstrosity was sliced into ends. The plan was clearly to bypass the volume control but this is a 727... which has a switch to turn off the volume control and bypass it!! Just flip the switch the volume control does nothing... fucking hell... One more thing, can anybody make heads or tales of this monstrosity? That's two three conductor cables, basic mic cable would do the job but why set it up like this? Each conductor is screened and they are bridging it ever 10cm or so for moar cancellation? Ground for your ground... for your ground? Also, I'm not truly prepared for the 727 to be almost 20 years old at this point. The caps in this one had a date code from early 2007.
  17. There's an awful lot of solder on your SMD parts.
  18. Always loved her, beautiful woman!! For me, Looking For Mr. Goodbar and Baby Boom may be my faves. RIP......
  19. Sorry to hear. Maybe Hall, Reds, or Looking for Mr. Goodbar here.
  20. I decided to test out the new electric razor's self cleaning pod. The old one sucked because after you opened the pod of liquid and installed it in the cleaning module, it would basically be good for one cleaning, as it would evaporate in a few days. And those cartridges are expensive. This new Razor has a better designed module, but still has a small slit for the liquid to enter the blades. I try not to give Bezos much business these days, but remembered these silicone lids for storage of leftover food. My Mother had some and I found a set of various sizes on Amazon several years ago, so... No more money evaporating into the air. Also several years ago on Amazon, I found these... You simply add a small portion to 70% rubbing alcohol, and you have very inexpensive cleaning solution that works every bit as good as the expensive pods. And the lemon scent is nicer too.
  21. Ubuntu 25.10 was just released (October 9), too - probably worth upgrading the test system eventually (in my experience, new releases are very buggy for the first 4-6 months) - alternatively, Ubuntu 25.04 or the older 24.04 LTS will be more stable: https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2025/10/ubuntu-25-10-new-features And of course, Flatpak doesn't work out of the gate: https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2025/10/flatpak-broken-ubuntu-25-10-apparmor-bug For what it's worth, I am tech-scared too.
  22. Or you could move to the EU ...
  23. That's sad news. Maybe I'm ready to watch Annie Hall again. ☹️ RIP
  24. Diane Keaton at 79
  25. I just upgraded my mom's mini-PC to Win 11 today, with Win 10 ending support this week. You can pay $30 for one more year of security updates, which was my original plan. But then you NEED to create an MS account, and use it to login to your machine. That was a no-go for my tech-scared mom. Upgrade went fine, though. Machine is a bit slower, but it'll hold for a while. I had a little fun with Ubuntu. I got a Celeron-based Chromebox for $25 from a used Electronics store in Maine a few weeks ago. I was able to download & install a new BIOS for it, upped memory and SDD drive ($50 total), and loaded Ubuntu on it. Still a tiny bit slow, so TBD if I'll keep it like that. It was just fun to play with the innards and BIOS of a computer again.....
