As you know, I'm banned from headfi for another 9 days. However I'm in the middle of writing up a mini-review & impressions of some speakers I've heard lately, and I need to pull up some of the posts I've written on head-fi. The google search doesn't pull up the posts I need. Here's what I need. I've posted impressions of the Dynaudio Audience 72SE, the Sonus Faber Concerto, and the B&W 804, most of it is in a thread started by mulveling in the cable forum on head-fi, with a few bits scattered around various other threads. Since Head-Case has of late begun its own DIY cable gallery, I'd like to discuss what I think is appropriate for such a gallery. Given that the Head-Fi DIY cable gallery has been used for commercial promotion by certain members (see the Ruh Roh thread), it would be nice if we could avoid that fate here. For example, posting glamour shots of cables for the purposes of attracting offers to buy is in my opinion not right. The DIY forum exists to help people build components which they could otherwise buy and promote the hobby of doing the same. I am trying to pay for something and I enter the persons email address and then it red it says Email Address: Please enter a valid address in the format [email protected]. Ok this happened to me 3 days ago with someone else who also has a valid email address and after 2 days of trying it magically went through (this person is a verified member of paypal). Now it is happening again and customer service is no help. Any thoughts? Should I ask the person to request the money from me? the person I am buying from sent me another address to use and that did not work either!

Hi! Some of you might already know that I started a small headphone related wiki a few years back. It is coming along nicely, but I only know so much and only have a little time to update it with info. A lot of folks joined and contributed a ton of information, but more is always better. I believe this was a thread started in 2006 or 2007 (on Head-Case with the old forum software). And I'm pretty sure 909 started it- it was asking about potentiometer replacements for a Moth amp. There were a a lot of suggestions in that thread, which then went off topic with marijuana jokes. Does anyone remember this thread? I've used every possible search string I could think of and I still can't find it. Admins- any way of checking if it was deleted by accident? edit: I suppose the real thing I wanted out of that thread was where I could buy an ALPS RK40 from. I think someone posted a link to a German seller that had them.
