I felt like the amount of evidence in this case was overwhelming, and Murdaugh's testimony was underwhelming. But you never know how a jury will react, especially in the case of a wealthy defendant. I think this jury got it right, even though they only deliberated for 3 hours.

So many Birthdays in February. Have a fantastic day! And isn't it a little creepy to realize that our parents were screwing just 4 days apart.

My wife wants to go visit her great aunt on Bailey Island, ME, and we figured we'd make it a mini-vacation if possible. We're looking for a 3-4 day rental w/ internet access preferrably within a couple hrs drive of there and near the beach. Anyone know of anything? Needs to be able to sleep 6.

Hello All! I finally got fed up with the thought police over at Head-Fi, so I posted a farewell message saying goodbye and a little on why I was leaving. Nothing defamatory, just saying that I could not tolerate the moderators arbitrary enforcement of the rules and their deleting things just because they could. I then logged off. I went back to read any responses to my farewell (as a guest), and the f----ers deleted my farewell message. Oh?well. So here I am. I?ll see how things go here. So, I have tickets to see jazz legend and really old guy Charles Lloyd tomorrow night. He is playing with Jason Moran, Eric Harland and Reuben Rogers, a killer quartet. He is not and all-time favorite of mine, but he is great and, as mentioned, really old. I have seen several jazz greats shortly before their deaths and I try to see the old guys when they are around for this reason in addition to their music. The dilemma arose today because a buddy just sold his guitar to a guy who works on the Ray Davies tour. He offered him tickets and possibly back-stage passes for the Ray Davies show tomorrow night. I thought I would be smart and pick up a cheap dvd burner for my asus I have a usb - ide (pata/sata) cable which works perfectly for any drive I have tried it on but for some reason I can't get the dvd to work. The burner is a samsung SH-S222L lightscribe and is supposed to be PATA/IDE . I set it to slave but have tried all other options when that failed. any help appreciated..dB

I seem to have lost my camera. It was quite old and not very good anyway. I'm in the market to get a new one. Wants: Ease of use. I'm not much of a photographer, but would like to be able to quickly, easily take a pic without much fuss and bother. Small size and fairly durable. Can drop in my purse without fear (my purse is actually very neat with no random debris lying about the bottom). Not expensive. Since I have no plans to use it often, I see no need to spend big bucks on this. I'm looking at $100-300. I've been looking around at cameras, and there are hundred that seem to fit my want list. So I was writing a review of a new pen I bought over at the Fountain Pen Network, and the wood colored ebonite inspired me to take some pics of it in juxtaposition to my RS-1. I thought I'd share. Kind of a pipe dream, but it would be cool to see ebonite used in a headphone design, even though it would be both pointless and impractical. The pen is a Bexley Deluxe II in Antique Cream.
