  1. I think people here at Head-Case should know that Twisted Pear Audio is raising funds to support Doctors Without Borders relief efforts in Haiti after the earthquake. There is a prize, to be precise a complete Buffalo II kit! http://www.twistedpearaudio.com/news.aspx Best regards, Jose Luis

  4. ...today a co-worker informed me that she had bought five bottles of Flor de Cana centenario duty-free at the airport in Nicaragua. When she arrived at the states, customs told her she could only take two and that the limit isn't an airline limit but TSA's limit (though she did say the guy was a complete douche). This seriously sucks, as I wanted to bring back at least four bottles (two Flor de Cana and, if found at airport duty-free, two Havana Club, if not, some other stuff). The thing is, I can't find anything on TSA's website concerning the limit of bottles, and my coworker admitted that just three weeks before her husband had returned from Nicaragua with five b…

  12. I just had to re-install windows after a harddrive failure (thank christ I had my music backed up on another drive). I really don't want to set foobar up again. I'd like to steal your components folder and any other file I'd need to have your setup. All I am looking for is and setup were the music is organized by artist and album I don't care about anything else. It would be nice it it looked pretty but I just want foobar back. Thanks, aaron. It was about a year ago that I looked everything up and got it just how I like it but now I've forgotten everything and really don't want to go through that again. P.S. it can be sent to my gmail address which is; aaronco…

I have to admit that the IRS is getting on my nerves a bit -- getting me just a little bit angry. Doing those things they do. I did my tax (or rather, had them done) early this year because we owed a little bit a of money last year, and I switched jobs last year, so I wanted to see where I was at in terms of taxes. As it turms out, because of various factors, I significantly overpaid, so I'm expecting what for me was a sizable refund. My taxes were electronically filed on 2/16. According to the IRS chart, I should have had my refund directly depositted last Friday. As of today, nothing. So I check online and find that the processing of my return has been "delayed,"…

It feels like ages since I've last been back here. Seems like much has happened during my absence. Smeggy started making headphones and became a MOT, and a bunch of new companies emerged, Schit, Audeze, etc. My last purchase was a Pico DAC/amp and it has served me well all these years. Earlier, I was chatting with someone and he was raving about how his friend just got a LCD2 and was driving it with a Little Dot amp; is this the new hype right now? At least Nate is still rocking his breastfeeding avatar! I noticed that I cannot view member profiles, so there must be some kind of restriction put on my account. I'm not here to ruffle old-man grawk's feathers (with …

Greetings Head-casers, I was just wondering if anyone here had sold or posted any of their gear using Audiogon auctions. I'm in a bit of a situation because I need to sell my preamp as fast as possible in order to fund some textbook purchases for school. I have a standard listing up at Audiogon, but was considering taking it down for an auction to speed up the sale. What do you guys think?

To ensure that when the truck reached the package depot that the dock apes never got near your precious, but that the driver personally handed it to a center manager, who would then place it under lock & key until he persona…
