Headphones

Just bought these on HF. Wondering if anyone has any experience with these. They are the darker wood (obviously) and have no serial #. Also, these look to be pretty glossy..think they were refinished or something?

Here is a rather unique & rare planar headphone : Rotel RH-930 back-electret headphones. This is an OEM version of Toshiba ?HR-910.? The wikiphonia entry suggests 910 but the pics on this japanese site are suggest hat it is OEM version of HR-810. The transformer is built into the TRS plug & so it can be used with usual dynamic amplifiers. The transformer plug has three settings- H, M & L The driver is 65 mm. No backwave damping here. Hi, I'm looking for some IEM recommendations. My current IEMs (that I really like) are Etymotic ER4S. I really enjoy them for many types of music, but they're not amazing for all types of rock. I think they do Radiohead very well, but Tool, or Children of Bodom? Not so much. Also, I don't really have much of an opportunity anymore to use my full sized set ups (RS-1, HD650, HD595, HD590, AKG K701s), and I'd like some variety. Hey, Yesterday I bought Shure SRH - 440 headphones. I read somewhere that with the SRH840 pads the headphones are more comfortable and the sound is better. Would you recommend to replace the ear pads to the SRH840 ones or the SRH940 one ? Which one of the pads is better ? more comfortable and better sound quality ? Thank you, Noam

Just stumbled across the German Maestro headphone brand while browsing another forum looking for a really good pair of closed back headphones for listening at work. Has anyone tried the German Maestro GMP 450 or GMP 8.35D? They're supposed to be really comfortable. Any comments on their sound compared with something like the Beyerdynamic DT770?

Is there a list of all headphones that have the HD580/600/650 style connectors? I know it's bass-ackwards, but I kind of wouldn't mind being able to browse said list. I can't seem to find my HD250-II's anywhere, and I think it's the only one I have left of that style. Still enjoying my Hd580 wired for direct balanced out from XLR out of my miniDAC, find it useful to move around from room to room in the house. Couple of questions: 1. Now that I'm biking more (yay!) I find I need to take the occasional phonecall when I'm enroute. So I'm asking for headphone advice. Imagine that. I'm mostly looking for something that won't fall out of my ears (I'm talking to you, EarPods), or block all sound (I like to have some situation-awareness around crazy LA drivers). It's fine if they're wired--again, I'm not necessarily looking for amazing fidelity. Do I want Bluetooth? Thoughts?

Hi, WTF did they use to stick the pads to early Phones(2000).The crap is like black tar and as hard to get off. I managed to scrap it off the plastic cases but getting it off the pads is a real shit. Any suggestions for removal and what do you use to reglue. Thanks Les

Hi! I am looking to improve my system or just to buy new headphones. Right now i have this setup: Pc to DacMagic connected with USB or Xonar D2 PM connected to DacMAgic with optical/coaxial cable. And DacMagic connected to Darkvoice 336i. Headphones that i use the most are HD650. What i am looking is to upgrade my current setup or just to buy new headphones. I love my HD650. They are great. I found out today that the wiring on the right earpiece of my SE530 is loose, so that whenever I move, the signal cuts out. Fortunately they are still under warranty, so I sent them in for Shure to repair. My question is: what could have caused the wiring to be loose in the first place, so I can prevent this from happening in the future. I have been running with them on the treadmill everyday for the past two months, so is it that? And if it is, color me disappointed, because I thought the build quality should be able to withstand running.

So right now im looking at the KRK KNS 6400's they seem ok but i was wondering if anyone had any opinions or other recommendations?
