Check out the state of my R10s after I got them back. I am pretty sure they were like this before they went out on loan. The foam has completed melted/congealed into a sticky mess on the wood around the drivers. There is even a bit on the driver grills. I sent these pics to Alex to see if he was willing to resurrect them. I can get new pads and foam from Mikhail. Please let's have a moment of silence for the speedy recovery of my R10s .

I have a KGSS and SR007 Mk2. I usually leave my KGSS on all the time. Is it best to leave the headphones plugged into the KGSS all the time to allow full charge or to just plug them in a little while before a listening session?

Hey guys & gals, I'm new hear but found this through Google. So awhile back I had my HD650's directly plugged into the front of my Mac Pro and I pushed my chair back and slightly bent the plug as well as the headphone jack in the Mac Pro. So for about two months, I'd have to jiggle the plug and keep tension on the cord in order to get sound from both drivers. Then about two weeks ago, I couldn't get the right driver to play. So I bought a new adapter to fit in my computer, nothing. So I tried my headphones in my Amp without the adapter, same deal, only the left side working. I've tried other headphones in my computer and they work. So, did I blow a driver someho…

The right driver in my HD650s is loose. If I wiggle the headphones around I can feel and hear it jiggling. Sometimes the cable gets a little disconnected and the music cuts out. It's starting to get annoying. I've never done anything DIY in audio, but I'm willing to try something to fix this. Any advice? Also, not sure if this should go in a different thread? Thanks all.

Lately I've been thinking if a home rig is really even worth it. I haven't used my home rig intensively for about 5 months. I really only use it when I am programming on my computer for school. I listen to music non-stop, but I've been using my portable setup the most. I guess I'm just at the point where I wonder if its worth all this. I have: Cardas cabled (balanced) k340, balanced 325i, my custom tube amp, Zhaolu, monster hts2500mkII. I figure I could sell it all and upgrade the weak link in my portable setup (e2c) to (e500). My first impression of the K-701 was that it was an improvement over K-340, sounding much like what I suspect a modded K-340 would sound like. However, the longer I owned the K-701, the less I liked the sound. Odd, but there it is. The final blow came in a listening session where a friend and I were comparing K-340, K-701, and K-1000 (just for the heck of it). Bad luck for the K-701 was that I discovered that the Wheatfield HA-2 is a very good K-1000 amp. I'm wondering if i should look up this deal Grado sr60 / sr80 headphones for ipod zune audiophile mp3 music player, and what i might look for to find out which Grado they are. It's been 3 years since i last heard and SR60, so it's not like i would be able to immediately compare.

I was reading various Sony brochures, but still can't figure this out. Will ECR500 box work with ECR 600 and vice versa? Does anyone here have ECR600 box? I will have two ECR500 boxes soon and would gladly trade ECR600 box for one of my 500 boxes it it will work with ECR500 to check out what the differences are.

Hello, Just picked up a set of HD600's. Did a solid hour long listening session comparing them to HD650's off an obnoxious $4500 McIntosh something or other CD player (just to be on the safe side, lol) at my local stereo shop.. Money no object, greatly preferred the 600's. Felt like the 650 simply added a driver with a bigger motor and some supporting mods, giving it more presence but overly so, making the finer details of the 600's appear warmed over. I will be predominately listening to classical, which was the genre where the major differences really made themselves known in my demo session. Felt like the 650's were more a money grab than anything else....anyway…

Hey guys, need advice from your infinite wisdom. I recently lost my Shure SE425, therefore I need new earbuds. As good as they were, they lacked bass for me. As a beasshead, Im now looking for earbuds that have extreme bass, don't really mind compromising over quality of the rest of the spectrum (I have an HD650 for audiophile listening). I don't really have a max budget, but if it could remain under 500$, that'd be awesome. Also, I will be driving them with my phone's headphone jack, no portable amp (I just hate addtionnal bulk in my pockets). Thanks in advance.
