I hope the series lives up to its potential:

This one looks fairly promising. Enough violence and T&A to keep the drama from getting too thick.

This is a series I had not heard of at all. Ran across it on Netflix and it really spoke to me. While it's primarily about a man who did 19 years on death row and was then released due to DNA testing, it's also a family drama and much more. I can easily recommend this to anyone wanting to see some topnotch TV.

I really loved this show but I was kinda glad that they didn't drag in out till they ran out of decent ideas. But, comcast is showing all the episodes on demand and I'm starting to watch the whole shebang over again. I have to admit that I'm shocked that the much hated comcast is doing something that I like.

I came late to the Columbo show and the Cassavetes films, but few actors out there with such a low profile yet connected high stature over the years. And that little flick, Wings of Desire, where Peter Falk played an actor/ex-angel named Peter Falk... EDIT: First obits - Peter Falk, TV's rumpled Columbo, has died, Peter Falk: Beloved by comedians and cartoonists. And everybody else., Remembering Peter Falk, 1927 - 2011

It's been so long since I've watched the original mini series that it's hard for me to compare the two, but I'm enjoying it thus far.

New series on A&E. Caught the premier two episodes of this last night, though I think it is slotted for Sunday nights. Seems promising; I am going to target watching this. Rubicon - AMC

I'm surprised that there's not a post on this already but how are you guys liking the new season of Scrubs? I think people who started from the beginning will agree that it's returned to its former glory (S6-7 were crap). Even with the budget cutbacks (notice that there's no sets outside the hospital and JD's apartment), I do thoroughly appreciate the story and humor once again. Do you like Elliot and JD getting back together again? Or do you agree with Bill Lawrence(keeping them apart)?

A co-worker mentioned that he had just started watching a new series on Showtime "Shameless" starring William H. Macy. This is a US adaptation of a long running UK Series. "Sherlock" (2010) No not the Downey Jr one. A modern 3 x 1.5 hour episode 'series' on BBC that was broadcast recently and will released on Bluray/DVD on the 30th August Quite recommended if you are able to obtain it. I didn't think I'd enjoy it but decided to give it a try due to positive comments by some friends. I ended up liking it and even laughed a few times (I hardly ever laugh at TV) and found it quite entertaining, if not quite as polished as big budget productions tend to be. I felt this lent the programme a bit of charm and let the focus on title character really shine through, which is good because he's brilliant.

English tv show. Written by Stephen Moffat. Very fast, witty dialogue. Very House - Wilson, Holmes - Watson type humor which I quite enjoy. Just started season 1 but am sad to find out it only has 4 episodes =/ Anyone else watch it?

Anyone else watching this HBO mini-series? Was nervous with Simon and Haggis working together, but it's turned out pretty well so far.

Someone on another forum I'm on brought up an interesting topic. Television shows without a single bad episode. Most shows have a few duds, but not all of them...what would you say was a show without any duds?

I happened upon Letterkenny about a year ago and it's been great. Anyone have any recommendations for other good sitcoms? Not necessarily in the same vein. Other stuff I have seen and like: Seinfeld, first few seasons of That '70s show, The Office (US) before Michael Scott left, Parks and Rec, Arrested Development (not including the Netflix season). Sitcoms I hate: Big Bang Theory, 30 Rock, Two and a Half Men, anything with a horrendously fake laugh track

I just finished watching the first episode of the 3rd season and I have to say this show has slowly become one of my favorites on TV these days. I wasn't sure quite what to make of it in the first season but it just keeps getting better and better, hopefully they can keep that up.
