Went to the local ramen place with a friend. First time ever having ramen. But first, some pork belly starter which was included with the drink. Boulevardier Her Brussel sprout nonsense (probably blurry, but she liked it. Decent taste, hated the texture) Her veggie ramen, which was better than mine. My sous-vide pork belly ramen It's Greek to me, but you kids may can tell me what I ate. **BRENT**4 points

I get asked about the black Yggy all the time. So @blubliss posted pictures of his black one on HF and I thought it looked fantastic. I asked for a black one in an email when I placed my order. Right before it shipped, Schiit sent me an email saying that they didn't have any black ones. Lo-and-behold when the shipment arrived there was a black Yggy inside. I was pretty happy. Ask and ye shall receive?3 points

That wall.....rocks Me: back to the land of the living, prep and procedure done with minimal downtime and discomfort. Two very small polyps to be checked at the lab, but overall doctor not concerned so far. I want the anesthesia I got to be OTC. Went down like a baby, and once I woke up I was quite lucid quite quickly! EDIT: Iain, I did actually get pics. But I'll refrain from posting or sending EDIT again: that was it, Chris. I heard them mention it to another patient. Yes, I guess I couldn't do that EVERY night....2 points

I can imagine -- it'd be like photoshop or Knucks with his infrared camera, except dog poop and real life! Yeah, I'm staying away from that shit... (fnar fnar)2 points

^ Probably Propofol (or at least you describe my experience with Propofol), probably better it not be OTC though as it's what killed Michael Jackson.1 point

Done. It was like tar. Washed down the boards with alcohol and toothbrush, cleaned everything else carefully, and reassembled with some speaker wadding where the foam used to be. Diaphragms hold charge really well, so leakage seems to be minimal. So far so good; close to putting music through them.1 point

@ TMoney, Can you actually get the Yggy in black? That DAC sure looks a lot nicer in black than silver.1 point

Have you considered the possibility Guttenberg has pulled his head out from his ass finally and started speaking sense? And that maybe you're just wrong about everything, Birgir?1 point

Can't go wrong with Boulevardier, brussel sprouts, and ramen (unless they are not well made).1 point

No he got lapped, but he was still hogging the racing line as if he wasn't limping along.1 point

We used to have a dog with lots of GI problems and he had to swallow barium a couple of times. The pure white poops were disturbing.1 point

Yeah I was going to point out that when you have that kind of damage you are supposed to get off the racing line but then I remembered who I would be speaking to and left it alone.1 point

Grahame actually completed more than one lap while missing a wheel. Talk about persistence.1 point

ESP-9's turned up. Both headphones and energizer are in great shape. There is only one mains transformer, mounted on the rear panel, and orthogonal to both signal transformers. I have no idea how that is wired up to the voltage multipliers, but it seems to power up fine though and the headphones do not make any untoward noises - with no signal as yet. Common ground on the inputs. Zener strings are 4 x 180V, so it looks like the bias voltage is ~700V. Looks like a good UKP62's worth for a bit of fun, and possibly some half way decent sound quality. Expect I'll have to open the backs of the phones to check for dreaded sponge degradation at least though.1 point
