Stopped by the bike shop to inquire about a more carbonfibery fatbike and took some pics in the bathroom, no not in a perverty way. And got some new silicone grips and 45Nrth pogies for winter rides. Update: Did a ride in the 8 degree, 10+ MPH wind neighborhood with no gloves underneath the pogies in complete comfort. These things are awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

It's another format cashgrab. The only reason it's known is due to some highly connected ex-Dolby peeps behind it. Streamers are desperate for a differentiation factor, so they grab every straw they get. Credit: I work for a company which might be able to deliver the superweapon the streamers need. And it doesn't involve selling all your gear/music. Thus we're sort of competing with MQA, even though our methods can be compatible.1 point

Dusty I vote SciPy or Octave. I have used Octave for DSP work myself though I use Matlab at work. A bunch of people also use SciPy and I will be learning more Python in the near future due to necessity. I tried to get used to R but I found the data structures clunky and it didn't really seem setup from the get go for scripting. That said I was not trained and was just trying to get a particular thing going and once completed I abandoned it.1 point

I don't use it myself, so I cannot offer any comparison, but anytime Matlab and R are mentioned, it is always worth including scipy in the conversation: https://docs.scipy.org/doc/scipy-0.18.1/reference/tutorial/signal.html1 point

I do not use it for any DSP, but R does have signal processing packages available. And it is free and multi-platform. Edit: I love this topic. Subscribed.1 point

After having an expensive SACD/DAC ( K-01 ), and now having an Yggy which was a fraction of the cost of that SACD/DAC, I'll never spend a large amount on a DAC again, especially with me enjoying the SQ from the Yggy more than I did that K-01. However if someone wants to spend their money on a Chord Dave, which I've seen in the UK priced at around £8,000, then that's up to them, definitely not something I'll be doing though, in fact I'm still pissed off with the amount I lost in selling that K-01. ? Yes I know, I'm a fucking idiot.1 point
