What if you had Irish cream tea and crepes at the same time?! All heck might break loose! I have not been sleeping normally and keep waking up at 3-5am. Today I gave up at 6:30am and went to the local bakery/farm/pumpkin patch for pastry and a few other items. I had a sweet cream cheese croissant about 7:30am while watching the sunrise on a bay of Lake Michigan. I also bought a plain croissant so I made second break later in the morning with cheesy eggs and bacon in what Burger King called a croissanwich. I could easily live up here about 8 months of the year...8 points

Just made crepes for lunch. The batter was a little too thick. The Irish cream liqueur sits inches away, so I thought hmmm. Best crepes ever! Is this stuff considered a gateway drug?4 points

I think of myself as a butch dude, but when it comes to booze I admit to being a nelly queen.2 points

Not sure Mikey. I'm not really up on any of the current cabling guys like Moon Audio (see some hits for these phones with Silver Dragon cables on them). It would be nice if AT said what they would or could do before you sent them in From the pic, it looks like it is just heatshrink that is splitting, but as you say, getting access to a free end to replace it is problematic unless you can remove the cable at the headphone end.1 point

Guessing by the album artwork that it's probably not similar to the Carpenters, ABBA, James Taylor, etc...1 point

A couple of videos of Guita Rei. Here she channels John Lee Hooker with a dash of Creem. For the second one, use your headphones. It’s a binaural recording.1 point

Your best bet may be to hire Wilco to follow her around.1 point

Round two of my DIY 'stats. Again using SR-X driver shells but now with my own bias rings (laser cut aluminum) and 1.4um film. This is more of a test bed for different glue and coating ideas but I have to say it sounds bloody awesome. I haven't received a large shipment of custom earpads so these are just using what I had sitting here. Alternating between some cheapo Fostex TH900 clones off ebay and A-T leather units. The sound changes a bit with the different earpads but not by a great deal. I did try some old SR-007 pads and I didn't like them at all. The thin, non-angled, A-T pads are excellent with this setup. The sound is very lively, energetic and punchy. I'm also narrowing down on the kind of soundstage I like, small but very precise. Now the small drivers will never beat the larger ones in terms of bass output but the super stretched 1.4um film is pretty impressive here. I don't find them bass anemic at all even though they clearly roll of earlier than the 007's. Next steps are more tests and I'm finishing up some new driver designs. Not the cheapest option but I'm going to try to make as many prototypes as I can so I can test back and forth easily. Guess I'll need some more storage space for the headphones then... In other news, I was looking for some earpads earlier and came across the Mr. Speakers Electrostatic pads.... now what the fuck are they smoking? Huge internal area for an electrostatic? This is the same amateur hour as King Sound.1 point

I am somewhat concerned about the desire to move up to Kahlua and maybe even Cream De Menthe.0 points
