Yep. That locking rabbit joint is about the next best thing to a dovetail joint. That being said, I've built enough pocket screwed drawers to have learned the idiosyncrasies. Nothing like experience on that front.

I used to go to the one in Campbell all the time and the Sunnyvale one in a pinch. I knew a lot of folks in the Campbell area (used to live at the Upstart Crow coffeehouse there) and I'd run into some of them there sometimes. In fact, it was the last time I saw Lloyd (old member here) was there. I kinda dug the weird decor and the bargains on snacks and stuff that lined the checkout area. I really miss having a local electronics store (even Radio Shack was better than nothing) but there ya go.

I particularly like that you molded your rice to imitate a Chinese 'to go' container. Nice extra touch.

Bloody shame. The HD650 is what I use 90% of the time. Would suck for that to go out of production. Did their earphones sell well? I never thought much of their earphone lineup and I wonder if that's more important right now than full size headphones. Were their noise cancelling headphones good? There was little innovation coming out of them over the last 10 years and the only models I was interested it were the older ones. I think a smaller, slimmer headphone division focused on the enthusiast and pro market would make sense, because competing with Apple and Beats in the consumer market is gonna be a long shot. Play to your core strengths, and be realistic about the size of your market. Their core strengths are full size headphones, tuning, driver design, and offering value, and those things scream pro/enthusiast to me and not consumer or even luxury. Focal beat them to the luxury market anyway.

Waxahatchee - Saint Cloud This is killer! Indie/folk. Pitchfork had it as their #2 album of 2020 behind only Fiona Apple. I'm not one to disagree.
