I bought these shoes to wear to MOA II, over 10 years ago. Never had the occasion to wear them there, or at any other time. I new they were waiting for just the right outfit!

Here is 1 channel of a blue hawaii running on +/-100v instead of +/-400v, with a single 6as7 dual triode for balanced output instead of a pair of EL34. The tube current sources have been increased from 20mA to 75mA, resulting in a grid voltage of about -30 or similar to the original design Feedback resistors reduced to drop gain from 500-1000x to about 20x into a high impedance load i tested 1khz/50Vpp out at .008% thd in order to meet "today's standard" of 15W into 50 ohms balanced, I'm estimating 16x 6AS7G tubes per amp?? Sennheisers would work nicely with a baby blue Hawaii but IDK of any protection circuit that could be trusted to run no transformer or capacitor coupling into a dynamic or planar headphone!! That's why I think this may be a better project for the purpose of phase splitting/inversion, voltage gain, and buffer driver. For example, Kevin's 'tube input unbal/bal' board with the 6922 is basically the first 2 stages of all of the SS/Hybrid e-stat designs at lower voltage but a 6922 itself can't do the job completely if the job is to get to a low distortion 100Vpp balanced output to feed Uber-buffers to get the 15W into 50-ohms but you could use this baby BH type design, such as this with a single 6AS7 per channel or maybe 2x with the sections paralleled for more power, if wanting to have the ability to drive "Hi-Z" headphones directly with a very very good protection circuit, or maybe more realistically, a large film cap

Think I prefer stereo. Moved the 300B to a T2. Left channel has EL61 with adapters from China and right side has 300B with homemade adapters. Works all right.

Happy Easter folks! Three months ago I bought a pair of Russian 300B. Intention was to try them in an electrostatic amplifier. Eventually I’ve put them in my DHT mini T2. Only mono version but it works. There is some unwanted hum/noise. Maybe because 5VAC for filament. I’ve DC alternatives, so future will tell if that might solve the issue. Anyhow, I’m enjoying the music (only left ear) and I still have some good stuff left.

She was a huge talent capable of an emotional connection to the music that only a bunch of singers managed, to my taste, of course. I've listened over the weekend a couple of albums by a spanish jazz pianist whose music I didn't know, just his name. Pretty good I'd dare say: Abe Rábade - Ghu Project Vol.1 and Open Doors (Ghu Project Vol.2) Not extraordinary nor unique or ground breaking, but very enjoyable. They're on Qobuz too. It's funny that all streaming services, even Odesli, get wrong that Open Doors is Ghu Project Vol.2, not Vol.1 as they all wrongly display.

I'm one of the lucky ones not getting the F. Mercury joke, not even speculating that his closed eyes could be hanging breasts.

Fly From Here: Return Trip Yes 2011 https://album.link/i/1490150422 Example: 20th out of 23 (one is about to be released) studio album. I kind of dropped off Yes, (well, new Yes) about 10+ years ago. I guess I was more into the band line-up (this one does not have Jon Anderson) than I was just about the music. So, I gave this one a spin (click) and I really enjoyed it. I just took it for what is there. It starts out with a six part song (clip of it as example) that I really enjoyed. The rest of the album is a bit mixed, nothing bad, just ranges from really good to okay. I will try the other two newer albums at some point (2014 and 2021). It is not so much I am running towards them, I am not actively running away from them anymore.

There's a bit to unpack there. First off, the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody include "mama, oooh-OOOH, didn't mean to make you cry." The way Freddie sings the "oooh oooh" part is phonetically similar to "UWU" which was originally text base smiley but grew into something far more because Internet and because Anime. There's also "OWO" and "OVO" which are animal and bird emotes, respectively. From there things turn into "UWU voice" which is, well... both absolutely awful and with great rarity highly amusing. Essentially it means speaking in a stereotypical anime female character voice. There's a semi-regular on my TF2 server who does the most spot on uwu voice I've ever heard and it truly both horrible and amazing.

New Covet -- that first song is the most atypical Covet song I've ever heard (in a good, noise-rock way), but the rest of it is more like this, but with just as much variety: At first I kinda wished it was full of more surprises like that first song, but then I "got comfortable" -- this is truly my comfort music, so I'm (quite possibly for the first time) actually happy about not being as surprised as I started out wishing I was.

Hum/noise disappeared after an hour. I’m a bit surprised but I can’t hear it any longer.

About two weeks ago I finished up a job (I'm now on a new job). The homeowner Chris always had a nice plaid shirt on. We got to talking about plaid collections. Although mine was much bigger, he had all Pendleton wool plaid shirts. Very nice plaid shirts, for those not in the know. Today my boss met with Chris and his wife. Pretty much a final meeting. Chris asked him to give me a box. This was the box... Pendleton has many styles. My favorite being the "Board" edition. It's a casual style, not too western looking. And made to be worn untucked. A beautiful Board edition! These are in the $150 neighborhood. I love my job!
