  4. That'll be a huge test for Roon. Streaming services will come and go. That's the way of things. Will Roon be able to integrate the next one? If yes, huge win for all of us. Otherwise, it's back to each equipment maker to cobble something together. But the way, a cool feature in Roon is the ability to expert a complete listing of all your albums in Tidal in a spreadsheet. (Which MIGHT even turn out to be inportable in the next service. At the least, it will be a reasonable cut and paste job. ) I remember recreating my MOG connection into Tidal from screenshots. Ugh. To me, getting past your collection being ephemeral is one of the biggest obstacles to the streaming model.

  5. Donut is watching a YouTube playlist of videos for cats. He likes the birds better than the squirrels. He seems to be down with the spacebar, but "skip this ad in n seconds" is clearly beyond him. It's adorable.

  9. What do you guys think about these headphones? I owned a used pair for a while, but I didn't feel the sound and build quality justified the price (for example vs. sr009 or omega II). I thought they had great sound stage, good detail and a nice balanced sound. No sibilance issues and non-fatiguing. I found the mids a bit thin and in my system they sounded muddy until I turned up the volume to a bit higher than I prefer. The pads get pretty hot after a bit of use. My wife wasn't a fan of them, citing vocals as lacking 'crispness'. I think they are still one of the top headphones I've listened to so I'd recommend giving them a listen. Biggie.

  14. The Google spreadsheet doesn't have any prices for shipping(at least not for me). Is it assumed that regular mail is included in the price of the boards? If not then how much is it so I can avoid being a deadbeat?

  15. Sorry to say, but I closed the GB and placed the order a few days back, and for various reasons its not possible for me to add more pots to the order (I've sent you a longer explanation over PM). I'll refund the paypal payment as soon as it shows in my account. However, if you look in the audio gear for sale post, I think JohnWMclean posted a bunch of different quad pots for good prices yesterday (an updated spring sale post), so I would recommend having a look there unless they are gone already. So, it turns out that TKD just now are changing pin size for the 2511 because they are switching production materials for the internal pot PCBs. The former type (green color) has 3.0mm width terminals, while the new type (black color: injection molding) has 2.5mm terminals. We will get the latest type for our 2511 order, so 2.5mm is the correct pin size. Advice on the change of the resistor board 3-1.pdf

  18. Brent, I want to introduce your countertops to a product called caulk. Don't get excited, it's caulk with an "L". Al, I bet it'd still make good tacos!

  19. It seems like you're doing some things wrong if it takes you four hours to shop for and prepare a few burgers and fries, but the results look tasty. With apologies to the Brisket Fairy @naamanf, I made a mini brisket yesterday with less than stellar results. I found a brisket nubbin to smoke but it was really too small and I didn't start early enough to really match the proper Brisket Fairy method to a TV. The texture didn't achieve greatness and it was too dry in the thicker and less fatty parts. Anyway, here are the results from last night's dinner. The first shot was just before wrapping in the magic pink paper and the second just after. The wrapped package sat in a cooler for 45 minutes or so until slicing.

  23. I personally wouldn't worry about either thing, although I freely admit to not worrying about things generally. If you regularly need to do a hard reset on your watch, I'd discuss it with apple. I wouldn't worry about twist ties at all, but if I were worried about them, I'd remove them, and then stop worrying.

  24. You're getting picked on because you're going on ad infinitum about a garbage headphone in a thread about something completely different, and no one gives a shit what you think about them, or why. Read the forum a bit. Then leave in a huff, find another forum, and post there about what douche bags we are.
