Ye Macce Threade
Wife got me an iPad 3 for fathers day. It is amazing. I can actually see detail in the screen. My iPad 1 is quite lonely. That is all. Oh never truly realized how sluggish the 1 can be.

Mini-Meet OC (Irvine) May 28, 2012
Good to hear you enjoyed the DSHA-1. I agree with your impression that it seems to convey musical qualities that are typically associated with both tubs/SS, which means its a well designed and thought-out amp.

Portable headphone angst
Oh yeah the 535 is a huge step up from the e500. I agrees about the msrp and was able to get them on HF but with all the tips unused.

Portable headphone angst
I just picked up some shure se535, and was able to test them out today at the soldier field 10 mile run. I am very impressed, as I used to own the e5, e500, and e530, with the development. The ergonomics are perfect, and are more comfortable than my jh13's after 3 refits were. The shape of the shell seems to have been tweaked to really sit flush inside against your ears, there are some subtle curves that seen to make all the difference from the previous models. Isolation was good using the clear silicone things that were more about convenience putting in. The earpieces swivel freely from the cable insert which is brilliant. The cable and shell build quality is substantial. The sound I found very smooth and linear, no crazy bass humps and the highs nicely detailed yet controlled, I would say more of a pro/monitor sound. Extremely happy, even more amazed at the comfort achieved by a universal and I haven't even played with any of the tips yet.

Joe Grado website
I spoke with joe Monday and he was doing ok. My comment towards boze was purely from my experience and my original quote time of 2 weeks that was given in January.

Thanks or checking in Tom. Nate is correct. Your concerns about joes health are legitimate, and I would recommend not sending them in unfortunately.

Grounding strategy?
So basically you are saying singlepower amps aren't safe - cool.

Balancing Act
I believe electraprint may wind their secondaries in a similar fashion - the multiple taps are wired in a way where the whole secondary windings are utilized regardless of which tap you are using. On my old moth s2a3 there was 4 different configurations - 4,8,16,32 (or something like that) - each involved placing different labeled parts of the winding screwed onto various bolts.

Balancing Act
Not an expert, but I believe if the transformer has enough inductance to "swamp" the impedance of whatever it is driving you are typically ok (minus any power transfer issues driving a high impedance can with a low output tap).

Balancing Act
Doesn't millett have a HF AC heater supply on his DIY page? He may even still have boards.

vacuum cleaner that isn't badly designed
Love my dyson. I am sure there are Bose like elements to dyson but it works and is super easy and holy smokes you can see all the dirt it is scooping up!!!!
