Hoping to have the day off tomorrow, I'll know around 8 PM tonight. I'll head out tomorrow morning and try to be there by lunchtime.

So I called Gene this morning asking him if he was on his way down.... I'm a dumbass. Took him saying "wrong weekend" about 3 times before I really thought about the date. Happy to have a relaxed weekend since I wasn't really ready to go.

The problem comes when you try to book Sunday night. It goes to the Hotel's standard rate for all the nights instead of the $89 Head-fi rate. Plan now is to take the Mayberry bus down. We'll probably get a ways down CA1 sometime during the week, but not as far as SB.

Flight is booked. Coming into San Francisco on Friday May 22nd at 12:20 PM. The next Thursday I'll make my way to Mayberry for the bus ride down, and then fly out on Monday June 1st (early, 7 AM I believe). Oh and my friend opted out on the suite. No parties hosted now I guess but we better see some of you around that first weekend.

And then they go off and ruin it this week with a complete lack of information. I figured Ellen was going to fill out the rest of their plan, but instead she just went back to the whole unproductive manipulative bitch routine. And Gaius still needs to die. Please... God... kill him before this is over.

I agree that the show was a bit "meh" but the writing was quite impressive. Probably a few casting mistakes in there, especially bringing Hilo over from BSG. With the later Edward James Olmos reference it's clear that Whedon is a big BSG fan.

Agreed Fungi. I would be the first to full combo "Fracture" for sure. And Dom, seriously, soft rock? Michael Bolton? You're a dick. A whole game of Pink Floyd wouldn't really work anyway, too much psychedelic nonsense. I'd love a few choice songs but there isn't a full PF album or even say 40 songs that would remain fun to play. A whole game of Led Zeppelin would probably make me want to shoot myself, can only handle so many Plant vocals. The Beatles are the ultimate fun band, everyone knows the songs and there will be plenty of challenges.

In sad kitty news, mine has gone away. She was a nice feral cat who adopted me and took my food but refused to become an indoor cat. I got her fixed and shotted about a year ago, and the vet hooked me up with a microchip. I haven't seen her since last Friday. It's been below freezing the last two nights so I've been watching for her pretty closely. I hope someone else in the 'hood took her in, but none of the immediate neighbors have seen her either. There's a nice bit of empty jungle behind my house and I never saw her wander beyond that, or out toward the road. If she had by some chance ended up at a shelter they would have found the chip. I still haven't ruled out the possibility of her showing up on my porch again like nothing happened. She just hasn't ever been gone this long and the deep freeze can't bode well.

A friend and I checked into the Real Doll site a few weeks ago. We wondered if they had any new technological advancements available. The penis option was indeed new, but you fail to mention that one of the options was for a flaccid penis.

I still use CC workers as my reason not to get depressed on the bad days at work. One day things were especially miserable, and it was still early in the morning. It was a day where I just wanted to park the truck and walk home. Had the radio on, and heard a news story about every senior CC sales person getting fired. They were told they could come back in three weeks, and apply for their jobs again at minimum wage. I decided my job wasn't so bad after all.

My friend just booked a suite at the Marine Memorial Hotel for the 22nd through the 25th, looks like a beautiful place. Advertises, "can host 20 for receptions." I'm thinking pre-party on Saturday for the SF crew, followed by some live music.

Or you could move to Florida and know nothing about snow. I've seen snow once in my life, in PA, and I was about five.
