  1. If you do the math you will see why this is a bad idea. Use more devices to spread out the heat.
  2. Last I heard Wal-Mart was sold out. Perhaps try Target?
  3. Seems Amazon.co.uk sells them?
  4. Yup. My F8500 is simply amazing...
  5. My experience suggests that you have more heat than is appropriate to couple them to the case. I defer to the designers though...
  6. It's too hot then, doubly so since it isn't cased yet. If you leave it as-is you need to consider how these devices fail and what overall effect that will have on the entire circuit when that happens...
  7. Ah. You might look at Vishay HVR37 series, I think that is what I used and also on the stacked caps and other HV locations..
  8. How long can you put your hand on the heat sink before you have to pull it away?
  9. R11 is 150K on the amp schematic I am looking at...
  10. Future has them on order at least...
  11. Spritzer: I am curious: are there any legit gluten-free bread styles?

    vs.

    Spy vs. Spy?
  13. Measure one device and wait 20 hours and remeasure it...
  14. The main differences boil down the black and grey plates, if I recall.
  15. Perhaps Al is starting a new MI rig and could take them off your hands
  16. does it run the metro interface?
  17. I prefer candelas.
  18. How about they make Prime 2 day again, that would be great.
  19. I believe they have a lower max plate voltage compared to an EL34, and as such arent recommended. You would have to verify my assertion though, or someone else might know.
  20. That makes sense. TL;DR version: With a 10K pot you have a cut-off frequency of 80kHz-160kHz, depending on pot rotation and time constant of 2ms-1ms. I find 0.5ms-1.5ms to be inaudible, and 1-2ms is acceptable. With a 50K pot and 10K, you get -3dB at 26kHz worst case, and 6ms group delay. In my opinion, this is suboptimal, and I'd consider reworking the values if I had a source wimpy enough to not use a 10K pot.
  21. Kevin/Birgir: Is the 10K series resistor on the input from the original T2 (which used a 10K pot) or was it changed to reflect the 50K pot on the schematic?
  22. Is there a Lightening plug version?
  23. What's a rasher?
