Tangram, Mise en Pièces...except for the track, "Zombie", which for some reason, won't play (Spotify). Groovy French ...uh...post-new-wave?

Indukti, Idmen -- prog metal, kinda Tool-ish right now ("Nemesis Voices"), but goes back and forth between full-on screamo and instrumental -- definitely my kind of thing...when I'm angry.

Happy belated! (party favour noise...with lots of reverb so it sounds like a distant echo...okay, maybe not that distant just 24 hours distant or so...)

The style is definitely Katsuhiro Otomo, so I'd guess Memories. Which I've seen, but don't remember the scene. But seeing as that's the dress that she's wearing if you search on "Katsuhiro Otomo Memories", I'm pretty sure it is. -

Can you get a Synology NAS and load it with SSDs? The other reason to go SSD is for less moving parts noise. Sent from mah phone-blet via Tapatalk

Birdeatsbaby, Feast of Hammers -- this is great -- cabaret rock in the mode of Dresden Dolls, with some other instruments (so: femme vox, piano, drums, bass, violin and vocals)...I'll definitely be checking out their other albums. They were recommended to me by Spotify by way of Pitchfork's similarities engine (I think) because I listened to Scarling and Magneta Lane, both of which I did indeed like. But I have to admit, I wouldn't have gone there. But if it's based on other people with the same tastes, I've gotta say, it worked. It doesn't always, but damn, this is a find.

Corelia, Nostalgia (Instrumental) -- this is sublime -- think nu-metal without the horrid vocals, and then progify it. Change change change change change... And fucking tight.

They certainly seem priced at the it's-the-most-expensive-therefore-it-must-be-the-best crowd. I.E., "this".

It looks like you can tighten the screws on that one. You know, like a torture device. 1.5 lbs.?!?!? What's it made out of, cast iron?

Gazpacho, Andando por Las Ramas -- I really like both Gazpacho's, the prog band and this one, the latin pop one.

I need to get that SACD -- it's kind of hard to play vinyl with computer.

_______________v-- 2. "I'm not. You can call me, 'Matt'." 1. "Hey, we're all buffed." I never got the purple one. Also, they moved the server out of the office, and me back into the office. Also, I leave when they turn the A/C off. I do some work from home in the evenings. I did end up getting the Equators, but they are only mildly portable. Good for gigs and weekend warrior type situations, but I wouldn't want to have to lug them back and forth every day. They do, however, sound really good for $300 powered monitors. They actually do sound twice as good as the half-as-expensive Fostex pm0.4n's. Albeit, less blurple. And the Quads definitely sound more refined, although not twice as refined. So it seems that (at least, for me), somewhere between $300 and the Quads are the sweet spot. I'll stick with headphones at work for now. Equators are for music-making; Fostexes are for background listening; Quads are for movie-watching and listening to SACD's in the bedroom.

Anyone have any opinion on MaximalPower (see Purk's ^ post) vs. HiTech (600mAh)? Should I just stick with the one that 25 Amazon customers rated at 4.6 and is cheaper? Or should I go for that additional 50mAh, and the less non-black? Purk, how is yours standing up? The best performance is always with the first charge, in my experience.
