  1. Thanks for joining Head-Case. I'm glad you're here. That said, you should be aware that this isn't your typical internet forum. We're not here so that you'll have another place to sell your stuff. We're not looking for people trying to pad their post counts, or demonstrate their ability to find witty things on the internet. This is predominantly a place for friends to discuss music, audio gear, and whatever else tickles our fancy. We are sometimes quite rude, often irreverant, and regularly abusive. Think of it like the corner bar where everyone knows each other. Don't mistake our familiarity with each other as familiarity with you, even if you've seen our names in other locations before. Spend some time reading before you start to post. Get familiar with what is going on, and who the various people are. Don't just jump right into the fray. This is your only warning, but I hope you can participate. There's a lot of good information, and more importantly, good people here.
  2. true blood. Such a good show
  3. Personally, I'd connect the ground line to your chassis for safety if you're going to use a grounded plug.
  4. or just keep discussing as is. Are there really enough threads and people here to justify even as many subforums as we have?
  5. I can bring you a powerline based wifi extender down to the beach, and you can have it . Which wireless router do you have? I'd think a combination of airport extreme + airport express would be able to extend you down into the basement in a useable way, or fish a line down from the 2nd floor into the basement to have ethernet down there. You should have a wiring pass through of some sort to make that somewhat doable.
  6. Nope, sorry. Cat5 or wifi. If you have interference in one band, switch over to the other (2.4/5.. Change the channels your network is using, etc.
  7. you might need to calibrate more, then
  8. The duet sounds better as a portable amp, and the pico works much better for doing needledrops.
  9. I think it's quite possible that 48 hrs would still have the humidity fluctuating 3% around 65% (you did get 65% beads, right?)
  10. eh, home theater is something I spend a lot of time using, but no time thinking about. I have a solidly midfi home theater, and use it for watching movies. Everyone who watches a movie at my place is impressed, but it's just better than a HTIB, really. One day I'll build somethign nice, but even then I probably wont' obsess about it...

  14. Ok, I relocated my music to a different drive and put it on the listening computer. I spent the last hour listening to alac vs aiff so that amarra would turn itself on and off automatically. What I think I hear is the imaging and clarity is just a touch better with amarra on.
  15. mine haven't ever squealed
  16. I just registered, and sent the e/90, 950s and a check with the note.
  17. That sucks. It squeals on both amps or just the e90?

I have the HTD flat panel speakers, and they're remarkably decent considering the form factor. They also have a pretty good guarantee. Home Theater Direct I'll take that sxbr off your hands
