  1. Double this. We are actually hurting for rain at this point in NH, which is crazy considering how much precipitation we got at the end of the winter.
  2. What the others said, Naaman, hunker down when necessary.
  3. Cheers to those who have served and those still serving.
  4. Nate too.
  5. Fuuuuuuuu.... We may now be entering The Shelly Zone. I went downstairs today to put some stuff in the boiler room and noticed that the area immediately surrounding my hot water heater is damp. Shit. Some investigation identified that the pressure relief valve on the top is letting a little water by, maybe a drip every few minutes. Hopefully it's just the valve and not the heater. Plumber called, wallet emptying surely to follow.
  6. I had a go a creating a course in Garmin's software this morning. We'll see how it goes on the ride this afternoon. I set a moderately aggressive pace for the ride - a 24 mile, mostly uphill ride to some of our friend's house. Not sure that was the best idea considering that I'm a) pretty out of shape and trying out a new saddle. That latter point is probably doubly true in terms of less than great ideas but here's to hoping for more comfort, less pain.
  7. I bought it for Andrew for his birthday. Really, it was a gift for both of us.
  8. This.
  9. Yeah, as the hours go by and the guy continues to no-show on the follow up I'm increasingly glad that I got it working again. I'll probably call shortly and tell him not to bother and just order the board from Amazon and do the repair myself. And at least I have ice for my drink later...
  10. The used RS5 gets my vote.
  11. Repairman came, took 5 minutes (maybe less) to diagnose the problem. Fried motherboard. Luckily he's a local, knows the lady that runs the parts shop and is willing to install a new one for 30% of the cost of the fridge, which seems reasonable. He just has to go pick it up, run some errands and then he'll be back. He also told me that occasionally you can simply resolder the fried connection at the undersized relay that cooked itself and get the fridge running again for short periods of time. So after he left I took the board to the office, solder the bad spot and reinstalled it. Viola! The fridge is running again. So hopefully this will allow me to save the food inside the fridge. The stuff in the freezer is already screwed and thankfully, doesn't amount to much.
  12. Happy Birthday, Brent!
  13. Congrats, I like the blue, blue hawaii.
  14. Awesome, Chris!! Me - woke up to a fridge that isn't cool and a freezing that is decidedly unfrozen. Repairman inbound and I'm just hopeful it can be repaired since it's only 5yrs old or so.
  15. Indeed, another nice build Birgir.
  16. Uh, 2016 might have an interesting option... http://www.indycar.com/News/2015/05/5-21-INDYCAR-announces-Labor-Day-2016-event-in-Boston
  17. I get weak/sprung at the sight of the RS5, but that's me and my inexplicable love of Audi.
  18. So I've been tasked at work to put together a spec sheet for a mobile workstation (think gaming laptop, without games) and I'm looking for some advice/assistance. The general requirements are that it needs to be able to run damn near any software that we throw at it (CADD, REVIT, Solidworks, Photoshop, etc.), store a bunch of data, but not be so obnoxious that it can't be used in a conference room for presentations (i.e. loud or stupid looking). It only needs to be transportable so battery life isn't really a concern or heft/size. Budget is TBD and quite robust, for once. So far the likely candidates that I've come up with: 1. MSI GT80 Titan 2. Origin EON17-SLX 3. Alienware 17 (borderline) 4. Asus ROG G751JT I'd welcome some thoughts, opinions, etc. from the crowd.
  19. Happy Birthday, Raffy!
  20. Nope, just bone stock, bottom level stuff here.
  21. I find the GTI to have a very decent sound system, but my expectations are pretty damn low.
  22. When do you pick yours up, Jeff?
