It's incredible, it displays OK here. Anyway, despite the smoothing and all, the graph is impressive. I'm willing to read your impressions, I hope you manage to try them at CJ.

I posted it a few pages ago and seems it's still working:
  4. Nadal vs Gulbis Rome semi-finals. They're playing the last set.
  5. Been listening to Henry Mancini - The music from Peter Gunn but it finished so I'm on 2nd track of John Lennon - Imagine (MFSL)
  6. Well, it's not a Pico but a Pico Slim, and I've received it a few minutes ago. Gorgeous damn tiny thing. I'm charging it using an universal USB charger, the included one doesn't fit European AC jacks. Again, it's really small, I may lose it in my pocket

Chrome says it's a phishing site and won't let me open it Well, not Chrome but OpenDNS.
  8. I vote for the Audio Notes. They can sound very good with low power amps and that's a plus in my book. Having the chance to use SET amps is great. You won't be able to do that using the Harbeths. I love the sound of good SET amps, though I haven't tried the Manleys. It'd be ideal you were able to try both at your place, maybe in your room they don's sound so alike and you like better one over the other.
  9. Happy Birthday!
  10. EJazz News Weekly Sampler #9 This week's is all about female vocalists. It includes a track by Melissa Stylianou I had read about her, but had never listened to her singing.

No worries, the curves only have certain resemblance for having an increase of the frequencies below 1KHz compared to the treble, but the DX have a bass boost which the LCD-2 don't seem to have. Also the treble extension seems much better on these.

It reminds me a bit of the DX-1000 curve. That's a sound signature which I can enjoy.

The FR chart seems promising, I wonder how accurate are those measurements: I'll be thankful if you could try them at CJ with a B22 or GS-1/GS-X and post impressions.

  20. Jimmy Reed at Carnegie Hall Not the MFSL but the RB layer of the AF SACD. Pretty good sound.
  21. A black Pico amp despite I haven't used a portable amp for ages
  22. Miguel, it's not a matter of you liking crap. I think it's your listening habits. Since you listen at very low volume levels, you enjoy more cans delivering a bit of enhanced bass and crispier high frequencies. The R10, not even the "bass heavy" ones, weren't ever bass monsters. I believe the extra bass in the D5000 serve you better than the extra midrange richness and treble smoothness of the R10. For "normal" (ahem) people listening at "normal" volume levels is quite understandable they prefer the R10 though.
  23. Benjamin Britten - War Requiem (LSO)
  24. Eric Clapton - Just One Night [MFSL]
