Great photoshop. Had to save that one to my phone even though I did not pick up the mic last night. I thoroughly enjoyed the choucroute garni platter I had for dinner and the various beers I posted, so why wreck it by embarrassing myself at a dive bar?

Great design ideas in Brooklyn these days! Wish I were hanging with you although I took another day off and hung around the house taking down the allergy-inducing Christmas tree and other items and will be going out shortly with Claire's teacher friends for German beer, schnitzel, and karaoke of all things. I won't be bothering with the last of those. :/

I don't think laying them down is a big problem but when I read up on it the beer cellar types seem to say that beer picks up "flavor" from caps or corks moreso than wine. Unlike wine corks, most beers use the expanding champagne type and aren't kept as long as wine, so you shouldn't have to worry about shrinkage.

It can go even longer if you like. I have Eclipse 2009-2012 at the moment and JP and I had a 2008 Eclipse PVW that was awesome. I don't lay beer down for any length of time to avoid cap interaction. I keep my bottles vertical.

George Cables' new CD My Muse

Grahame's Bacon Surprise was over the top and a huge hit. My favorite was the candied bacon -- or as my meat deprived 13 niece called it Honey Bacon -- but all three were great. Joanne was a trooper for allowing the massive bacon manufacturing effort and remarked that she helped with date and cheese variety because it was the only proper appetizer. A true Brit. Here is the one shot of the Traeger in action right before removing the turkey and the larger of two boneless legs of lamb. The lamb was especially tasty, but the Traeger rarely disappoints and both came out nicely.
