Interestingly, 7 is running more stable than XP in my parallels partition (used only for PlayOn). In that immensely limited capacity, I'm pleased with it.

Congrats, all-brick is awesome. 5 minute commute doesn't suck, neither.

All reports that I've been hearing is that 7 fixes most everything that was wrong with Vista -- so it'd be a step in the right direction. I remain optimistic.
