Ipod Touch / Iphone

Luckily, I don't have to care about tethering. :)

Just saying it'll be nice for them to officially catch up with the ball. And would like my 7.2 Mbps 3G though, please.

  • Leather case arrived today.  Going to cancel phone and just use this:

  • Crikey ... I go away for a while and all kinds of shit breaks loose.  Big and too big iPhones - even too big for Mikey's ass and Shelly's hands.  What the actual fuck is this world coming to?   Nice

I want to pick one up tomorrow but I'm not sure I want to deal with lines at the local ATT store. I don't know what to expect. I will probably leave a little early and drive by to see how bad it is. Otherwise, I will order from Apple and wait a week or so to get it.

A week? Apple sent me an email this morning that seemed to indicate I could have it delivered to my door Friday if I wanted it.

Bought two phones but wimped out on the lines and just had them shipped.

Al, do you have one of the older versions?

My wife has the first gen iPhone, which is going to become my son's iTouch-equivalent (ie no phone service). He has Claire's old second gen iPod, so it makes a nice retro combo. :D

Good term you coined there.

I'll try to post her thoughts on the comparo.

hopefully the lines are dead next week and i can pick one up then! how fast is apple shipping them out if you order today online?

I don't really need one, but I do really want one. I could dip into my Pico slim stash and just trust that I'll have saved up enough money by the time Justin starts selling them. Decisions, decisions...

I'm gonna buy a Pico slim, but I'll take a iPhone 3G or 3GS any day over that. My upgrade date is 2/13/10 so I have to pay full price to upgrade now. I'll wait and enjoy 3.0 on my 3G basic.

supposedly AT&T will be adding 3G in my area in August, so that would be the earliest I could consider the switch. But with a cell the only phone I use, it may not be such a good idea..

Just picked up my 3GS at the AT&T store 1/8 mile from my home. Got there at seven; there were about ten people already waiting in line.

They took the pre-orders first; so I waited about 20 minutes, then another five minutes to actually get the phone.

It's now activated and restoring from backup.

Does anyone know if you can restore an iPod Touch backup onto and iPhone? I've got a lot of apps with data in them and I don't want to lose it or have to key it all in by hand.

upgrade price for me is $500...

i'm hoping that the non-commitment price makes it to the at&t online store so that bing/live cashback can be used making it $500 again, but w/o the contract extension...

but i'll probably crack next week...
