July 21, 201015 yr thats why i went after it also, but i fail.. make sure you book mark the intstructions/video or soemthing
July 22, 201015 yr Author Anyone else getting random emails from AT&T this morning? So far they've suggested that I visit two of their newly remodeled stores... in Michigan. WTF? I'd just be happy if they could get my phone to consistently accept, you know, phone calls.
July 22, 201015 yr Yup, I got 4 weird AT&T emails about 2 different remodelled stores in states I don't go to very often.
July 22, 201015 yr Maybe they tried calling to tell you about the local stores? Oh, wait, n/m. **BRENT**
July 22, 201015 yr I received an email from AT&T asking me to rate my in store activation experience at a MI location that didn't happen.
July 22, 201015 yr At apple store playing with iPhone 4. I will give it up to them, the display is amazing and it is very zippy.
July 22, 201015 yr Author WTF? Does Apple just have a hard-on for shitty service providers? T-Mobile iPhone will Change the Wireless Game - PCWorld Business Center
July 22, 201015 yr Author the problem is that all of the service providers are about equally shitty. Not in my neck of the woods. With the updated bars on the iPhone courtesy of 4.0.1 I know get a much better picture of just how wretched AT&T's coverage is up here.
July 22, 201015 yr Author It's my world, which is to say that I could give two shits about how their coverage is anywhere else. Although I'd argue that Boston is a better example, where last week AT&T could manage no more than Edge service that was so weak it couldn't find a reliable enough data signal to send a picture message. Or is Fenway Park to rural for you?
July 22, 201015 yr Author I didn't miss your point, I'm just being obstinate. I do want to clarify one thing - I think it'd be great if Tmo got the iPhone. As referenced in the article I linked to Tmo's plans are generally about 30% cheaper than AT&T and some price competition between carriers would/should benefit consumers.
July 22, 201015 yr T-Mobile doesn't work terribly well in Cincinnati, if a couple of my friend's experiences are universal. Tmobile has terrible coverage almost everywhere. That's why it's cheaper.
July 22, 201015 yr Fenway park is way out through the sticks for me, so definitely. you missed my point, though. saying that a carrier sucks because it doesn't work where you are and saying that another carrier is great because it does is too simplistic of a measurement, simply because the reverse is going to be true somewhere else. the carriers all suck. not so much because of their coverage, as no cost effective network is going to be great everywhere, but because of their policies. Wrong. If it works well in Manhattan, it is good enough for the rest of you. How does Tmo work on my island?
July 22, 201015 yr T-Mobile's supposed to be one of the best in Queens and very good in Manhattan. I think everything beats AT&T in Manhattan.
July 22, 201015 yr I think everything beats AT&T in Manhattan. Good point--I'm better off shouting than using AT&T here.
July 22, 201015 yr That CNET test showed the T-Mobile service being pretty good in Manhattan. We had t-Mobile BBs at work for a short time and they were okay in NYC but really sorry wherever I traveled. I have still found nowhere in the area that I do not have fantastic AT&T service.
July 22, 201015 yr I already have a tmobile iphone ( ) and I had no problems with T-Mobile coverage in queens and in the city.
July 22, 201015 yr Got the new Defender Otterbox case for the iPhone. I guess it would do a good job of protecting the phone if dropped but I can't say I am a big fan of it or the iPad one that also came today. The sticky black outer rubber layer gives great grip but makes them a dust magnet and hard to remove from a pocket. I guess I might have to use the giant freakin holster that came with it if it gets too bad.
July 23, 201015 yr kinda defeats the purpose of having such a slim phone, to me. But now you can use it as a bludgeoning weapon. I have one coming my way and hopefully, I'll like it better.
