Thanks Dan.  While it would be cool to have around, I think I will keep my $99 and buy ammo or something. 

It's biggest use in our house to date is my 8 year old has it spell words for her when she's playing minecraft. 
 

I'm hoping it gets a lot more useful over the next year or so, and for a $100 christmas gift for my wife, if not, no real loss.

Those are fairly decent speakers, so that's a good price.  I gave a set to my son to use as rear channel speakers in the HT setup, and while not as good as the Epos ELS-3 that I gave him for his front channel they have great mids and transparency, and don't have that boxy sound that a lot of budget speakers have. They could use a little more sparkle, but I can't call them dark.
