Definitely a good meet. Good to see everyone.

Impressions? Well, one that matters...

The only thing better than how the BHSE looks is how it sounds.

This thing is the real deal. Justin has outdone himself.

Other impressions will follow tomorrow. Just walked in after a 5 hour return trip.

We are up and running. BHSE sounds sweet with O2MKII's.

How does it sound compared to the Warthog?

:useless:

Well someone had to do it.

Nikongod's Custom Creation - one of my favorite listens of the meet

Setting up the BHSE - pictures fail to do this amp justice

Someone brought this budget rig, it sounded ok...

Nice looking Little Dot MKIV

VPI's mighty balanced M3 - sounded every bit as good as I remembered.

VPI's gorgeous (sounding and looking) RTR rig

New Woo on the block - I spoke with Jack at length about this product and I think the production version should be a big hit.

That's it for pics for me, detailed impressions of the few rigs that I listened to. I spent a lot of time catching up with old friends and making new ones. As always the NYC crew put on a heck of a show. And poor spritzer, if only he knew what I was up to in a few hours... :veryevil

Thanks for the fantastic pics Nate and the captions :). It looked like a wonderful meet. Thanks for letting us know that it is Nikongod's amp. I bet it sounded wonderful. Also, that RS1 looks nice with the brown headband with the Melos. There was definitely some great gear and good people there as well ;)

Nice pictures. Some very nice eye-candy there. I will be interested in the impressions especially regarding the Little Dot MKIV and BHSE.

I heard that Little Dot at the last meet and was unimpressed, remember it being noisy and uninvolving.

Nice pics, Nate! Looks like I missed a fun meet. I was planning on going, but a lovely week at work demanded that I stay home and rest in lieu of making the 10 hour round trip.

The LD III mk.. is the worst piece of audio junk I've ever listened to, despite the "great" -according to the owner- NOS tubes which supposedly were a huge improvement :palm: It was noisy, strident, bright, uninvolving... it managed to kill the music in more ways I can describe.

I also was not a big fan.

OK, I was hoping maybe they changed something, but my impression was just meh. Not trully horrible, but certainly nothing special. I was worried that I had become jaded.

I had a great time at the meet and it was really nice to be able to put faces to some of the familiar names. Thanks for being so welcoming and sorry I had to book it out of there to get the train into town.

All I have to offer posterity are some low-rez listener's POV amp porn shots of my favorite stuff.

The big dog. HF-1s sound so sweet out of this!

O2 MkII, BHSE, Sony 5400ES. My first-ever taste of electrostatic headphones. Which I guess is a bit like losing your virginity to the entire Swedish bikini modeling team, working in shifts.

O2 MkI, KGSS, G08. Spent a long time here!

Lambda Sigs off what I think the guy said was a KG TT? Another big thumbs up.

After a couple of hours, I was ready to immediately cancel my HD800 order and start trawling for a stat rig, but a wise Monkey talked me down from the ledge. Went and listened to some HP1000s and vintage RS-1s off Ari's setup until I felt better. :)

that some amazing selection of gear over in the Eastern provinces. You guys don't cheapskate it do you.
