I maintain that Nate is the only sane one for having tried the Universals and turned them down. The rest of you nonbelievers are in denial.

Nate is not the only one.

  • So a while back I washed my jh13's and one earpiece had a hole so the drivers got wet. Decided I had enough, put them in a draw and forgot about them. A week or so ago, I decided to see if they could

  • I may be going on a limb here but I am guessing you prefer your 780p monitor over your friend's 4K Samsung. My brother in law had the same preference when he told his wife on their twenty second

I just took an appointment with an audiologist and mentionned over the phone that JH Audio requires open mouth impressions, and he thought that open mouth was not a good idea, that it would be too tight. For those who have the JH13, were your impressions all done open mouth?

Open mouth with a bite block. They fit great, if not a little loose.

x2, though I needed to get a second impression for my right ear.

With the impressions being 48$, I don't even cross the 1K psychological barrier.

He is just in denial, us real nonbelievers simply dont feel the need. Heck, I dunno how I even got into this thread!

$48 impressions? It seems like the local audiologists here want $150...

The guy I'll be going to is an an hearing-aid specialist, not an audiologist, so perhaps it's cheaper. He makes his own custom monitors for musicians so he should have a bunch of experience.

Is it that obvious that envy took control of me....

Um, me too. :P

Impressions cost $50 here, though from my previous experiences, not sure they are the best for impressions.

I forgot I got hit with 7% tax since I am a local Floridian. Had never thought about that. So half of my savings went to Uncle Sam.

But I am happy nonetheless! I wonder what I should design...

Also, I have to get my impressions done.

Me three I has no monies

Ah, but you have been having the dreams. Your possessed. If something dramatic doesn't happen, the JH13 will take over. You need to immediately see the Jerry Harvey the witch doctor, it may be too late! :peter:

Do they sell the cables separately, I have been able to find them on their site. I think it will be awhile before I'll be able to afford the JH13's but I'm interested in trying to find a cable for my Triple Fi's that will be a bit more manageable than the Null Audio cable.

/me slow claps for Dinny.

I'm proud of you kids who took the plunge. I was at work, toiling away, hoping to set aside a bit towards the fund, but I did hop on the forum on my phone to see if there was anything going on and saw two new pages of JH 13 goodness. ;)

FWIW, now that I have 7.5 hours a day with iM716s, I realized that they are relatively uncomfortable.

**BRENT**

Open mouth no bite block. Was a fucking PITA. No issues with fit though and well worth the annoying 10 minutes.

Open mouth with a bite block. They fit really well - certainly not too tight.

For a few nanoseconds, I thought about getting a second pair to use balanced but quickly came to my senses.

Yup, I can't wear mine for longer than a few minutes at a time without having the insides of my ears either hurt or feel itchy or both. I think my ER-6i is more comfy but it sounds worse.

Dew eet.

Is the JH-13 the proper headphone to actually use the otherwise silly balanced CMOY with then?
