JH Audio stuffs

I just took an appointment with an audiologist and mentionned over the phone that JH Audio requires open mouth impressions, and he thought that open mouth was not a good idea, that it would be too tight. For those who have the JH13, were your impressions all done open mouth?

$48 impressions? It seems like the local audiologists here want $150...

The guy I'll be going to is an an hearing-aid specialist, not an audiologist, so perhaps it's cheaper. He makes his own custom monitors for musicians so he should have a bunch of experience.

Do they sell the cables separately, I have been able to find them on their site. I think it will be awhile before I'll be able to afford the JH13's but I'm interested in trying to find a cable for my Triple Fi's that will be a bit more manageable than the Null Audio cable.

/me slow claps for Dinny.

I'm proud of you kids who took the plunge. I was at work, toiling away, hoping to set aside a bit towards the fund, but I did hop on the forum on my phone to see if there was anything going on and saw two new pages of JH 13 goodness. ;)

FWIW, now that I have 7.5 hours a day with iM716s, I realized that they are relatively uncomfortable.

**BRENT**

Open mouth no bite block. Was a fucking PITA. No issues with fit though and well worth the annoying 10 minutes.

Yup, I can't wear mine for longer than a few minutes at a time without having the insides of my ears either hurt or feel itchy or both. I think my ER-6i is more comfy but it sounds worse.

For a few nanoseconds, I thought about getting a second pair to use balanced but quickly came to my senses.

Dew eet.
