Pars Posted June 15, 2009 Report Share Posted June 15, 2009 The beta22 is fully discrete and has a much higher power output, much better PSU, etc. Although for a pro unit this doesn't look like a bad little amp, architecturally it isn't in the same ballpark with a beta22. Good specs are pretty easy to achieve with opamps running with negative feedback. I agree with the balanced in/SE out comment as well. From the top shot you can see they are all National devices, hence my deduction. The soic devices are probably relay drivers, that would be my guess at least. Therefore the things on the heatsinks have to be regulator chips, 2 for each channel. 5th one is likely a 5 volt regulator to control the switching.
