Great picture Al!

I'll have to add the Monte Carlo Cocktail to the list to try, it looks good (although I do really like the Old Pal so I am not sure will beat it  )

Today I got a nice little package full of Awesomeness from Mike the ThreeFloydsZealot :).

The glasses are even nicer looking in person that in the picture! Thanks Mike.

I didn't have a cold FFF beers to pour so I had to make do with a Dale's Pale Ale. :(

Cannot wait to try the Behemoth.

Now I am sipping some Metaxa Grand Fine while trying to finish up work for the day.

Nice 3Floyds glasses...

One more Royal

Good stuff Mikey! You must have a very large liquor cabinet (I hope you keep it under lock and key :) ).

Thanks Shelly,

Well it is not really a cabinet - but it use to look like this (from a few years ago)

And a few more for good measure

:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o

That's some serious whisky!

Hey, that was my exact expression when I visited Mikey's whisky garage!

Jeebus! Nice collection of whiskey! And that was a few years ago? What does it look like now?

and i thought i was bad when i had 50 bottles on hand, at one point.

Did you just drink that collection down or find another way? I find that it takes me a while to polish off a bottle but I'm constantly tempted to try something new.

Mikey -- you're a bachelor, aren'tcha?

Me, last night: Sam Adams Old Fezziwig. Pretty good. Will have again. Especially considering it was free*.

* I look at the Sam Adams winter/seasonal box/whatever it's called as US$15 for two choco bocks, and the rest are just gravy.

Fat Tuesday deserves better. Although I'm sure plenty of PBR will be sucked back in NOLA. As for me, I am going with strictly crescent city cocktails today. Once I break out of here, that is.

Cocktail al la Louisiane

0.75 oz rye

0.75 oz Italian vermouth

0.75 oz Benedicine

2 dashes of Peychaud's

Rise of Absinthe

Rinse glass in absinthe, discard. Stir remaining elements for 1 minutes with ice. Strain and garnish with a brandied cherry.

Flat12 King Cake Brew/Krewe of 12 Ale..a few ingredients include: brown sugar, white sugar, honey, vanilla, almond, pecans…that’s a start...also had some King Cake...didn't get the piece with the baby...

Tyranena Shaggin' in the Wood Bourbon Barrel-Aged Scotch Ale...they age 70% of it...the rest is regular Scotch Ale...lotta flavors...vanilla, oak, caramel & toffee...

& um...Victory Storm King Imperial Stout...

sort of an off-week as far as new releases here...next week should be better...have at least one package coming in...

There you go. Jealous now.
