But are you drinking it in your undies?

Brewdog Punk IPA and Hardcore IPA, Hoboken style.

Random Merlot='07 stags leap. Allison wanted a red. She was on the couch with the third glass, taking the picture.

Dan, undershirt, not t-shirt. It's too hot here and I have not turned the air conditioning on yet.

Fitz, you knew this was heading torwards watching underworld on bluray? Oh you are good at predicting the future if that is what you saw coming.

Less war?

:rofl:

Toasting all you bitches wherever you are, with a Rosalind Russell cocktail:

2oz aquavit

1oz vermouth or Dubonet

Stir with ice and strain and serve as you would a Martini.

As tasty as its namesake!

Another Rosalind Russell but with Dolin Dry. Different and smoother. Nice.

Completing the tri-fecta with another Rosalind Russell with Dolin Blanc. Nice, smooth and tasty, but a little too sweet.

Nice, Jim! Did you ever make it to the brew-pub in Warrenville?

Not yet. We are staying in St. Charles this weekend for a soccer tournament so I am lobbying hard.

I like the look of that drink Al. How is the North Shore aquavit? It is readily available around here.

That stinger image is awesome Shelly, even if the actual drink is less so.

I don't know aquavit at all, so I cannot really compare it to anything. I plan to get a bottle of Alborg for comparison at some point, but for now I can say I really enjoy the North Shore version of it. The RR cocktail with Noilly Prat had more martini bite to it but the Dolin Dry was very tasty as well. Give it a shot sometime. I love the Stork Club cocktail book where I found the recipe, so if you ever see one at a vintage shop you should snag it.

And I agree the Stinger pic is a beaut.

Shelly, Creme de menthe is on my list. Is the light or dark version more versatile for cocktails? I notice that Marie Brizard has both... Not that I can get it here anyways...

Too bad we are driving to Cleveland for the weekend, otherwise I'd lobby for us to meet you there! :)

An old bottling:

Sierra Nevada Torpedo, although I would much rather be drinking from mikeymad's stash.

(inb4 naughty jokes)

So I picked out a set of Signatory's for the evening.. will see how far I get

--> Mortlach 1988/9yo cask 2622 43% Signatory bottle

Start with the low proof stuff

Another 88 9yo (hmm that sounds wrong)

--> Linkwood 1988/9yo casks (2757 & 8) 43% Sig (half bottle)

edit (oh 8 with a close ')' makes 8)
