April 23, 201412 yr Every now and then, NPR's "first listen" albums really are worth listening to. This one, so far, seems to be of that variety (about 12 minutes into it and still a big pile of chilled out goodness).http://www.npr.org/2014/04/20/303388443/first-listen-rodrigo-y-gabriela-9-dead-alive?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=npr&utm_term=nprnews&utm_content=20140421 Thanks for posting this. Of course I had heard some of their work in the past but did not know who the artists were. I'm really loving this! Also been listening to some of Rodrigo y Gabriela's older stuff, it's all great.
April 23, 201412 yr White Willow -- proggy prog, with great googobs of Mellotron, and running the gamut from delicate Ren-fairie twee shit, and full on rocking out. I dig it.
April 24, 201412 yr A lot of Max Richter today. His piece, "Mercy", was one of the most beautiful pieces of music from the concert the other night, so thought I'd check him out further -- he does a lot of soundtrack work. A looot of soundtrack work.
April 26, 201412 yr Scott Hamilton with Strings ... ... (just a few days ago received a MHDT Labs Stockholm v2 DAC and this record is insanely good through it and the 323S/404LE combo; sexah!) Edited April 26, 201412 yr by s1rrah
May 2, 201412 yr Inventions live stream (Explosions in the Sky + Eluvium, so pretty much post-rock^2)
