I had a friend who said, "I never had a 10 before, but I had two fives once."

Changed the rear brake pads on my car. Very brake dust, much grime, and getting the caliper pistons twisted all the way back in without the proper tool sucked.

One always desires the proper tool.

You could probably have rented the tool at AutoZone inexpensively.

I opted to use needle-nose pliers, with a bit of profanity to help.

Not really.  But you kind of sound like him.

My da always said, "the right tools for the job".

Yeah, it's an incomplete sentence, but the rest of it is implied.

Or as a guy I worked with years ago used to say "If a job is not worth doing, it is not worth doing well"

But did you react to it?

Yes my good sir. I don't like changes but it is kinda good. I don't like fb like reactions but I can just keep doing the "heart" thing. Long story short, I like it. :)

It's called an umlaut, and it tells you to palatalize the en.

Umlaut of that went right over my head.

That's a tilde, not an umlaut.

Thank Satan we won't have to deal with those Mexicans and their squiggly lines soon.

You're an umlaut

**BREAD**

That's racist, and religionist. Don't make me summon the Flying Spaghetti Monster on you.

Brent vs. Brentavo!

Correct.

I can never remember which of the accent aigu and the accent grave are supposed to be used on common words and phrases, like déjà vu and résumé, so I have to look them up every time.  (And I only recently found out there were two on résumé, I usually only put the one at the end.  :palm:  I wonder how many offers I lost because of that.)

Makes it really tough to be a fan of Hélène Grimaud.
