Happy Birthday Birgir! Here's hoping you rise to the occasion, and get lots of dough, at the very yeast! We all know that inside that massive Viking body, there lies a delicate flour of a man. So roll out the good cheer, as we know that you kneed it. And isn't it about time we heard news of a "bun in the oven"?

So, I want to get a motorcycle. I have never ridden a motorcycle. Would a Grom be a terrible choice as a first bike? It's that or a Triumph Thruxton TFC (joke). Honda Rebel, maybe? I'd be gear all the time, but I like fine Japanese leather jackets, and they make kevlar armored raw selvedge jeans, now, so that would be fine.

Sold my one and only bike about a dozen years ago. Getting the itch and have been looking at something to commute on and just have fun street riding. Maybe a weekend trip. Looking for a more upright riding geometry and more sport bike type responsiveness but touring bike comfort. Yea, there is no such thing but considering these bikes: Kawasaki Versys, Suzkui V Strom and a BMW F 800 GT. Haven't been for the all important test ride yet. So many bikes, so many niches. Stopped at two dealers today. Yin and yang. BMW sales person knowledgeable, good listener and had great advice. The Suzuki/Kawasaki sales person the polar opposite. Didn't know squat, ignored…

Today through a newspaper supplement article I've learnt about Chloe, the 10 year old kid who has a rare disease that only suffer 12 people in the planet. There are millions of people suffering in the World, so why care, you may think. One of the reasons making this case worth our attention is that there's an investigation going on, they know what gene is causing the disease and they know they might be able to produce the missing substance causing the problem. They estimate that the whole process until a cure is produced would cost about 200,000€. The important part, as I see it, is that contributing to this investigation we're opening the door to finding cure to other di…

I couldn't find a thread to post this to, so here's a new thread. So UPS failed to deliver a package yesterday, just before the long Easter weekend - so now I won't get it until Tuesday next week. Bastards. I thought I'd sign up for real time tracking. I'm taken to a page to set up to get this, and find a tick box that says "I confirm that I've been given enough time to read and understand the UPS Technology Agreement" So I thought I'd click the download button to have a look at it. 96 pages. Doing a word count, it is 58,887 words long Which is almost exactly twice the length of the longest Shakespeare play (Hamlet)! That has to be the outer edge of ri…

So, I want to get a spin bike for home, after having done some spinning at gyms. Obviously I want the Peloton, but I just can't bring myself to spend the money, for some reason. Does anybody have one of the knock-off bikes? I'm strongly considering one of these. I don't think I'll mind a simple knob for resistance adjustment.
