So I signed up for the 2013 Tour de Cure in Orlando on March 17, 2013 and joined my local shop's team - Winter Park Cycles. Most of you guys know I love cycling and I'm a sucker for these rides/bike fests. More importantly, the Tour de Cure is a ride that benefits the American Diabetes Association.This cause is near and dear to my heart as my cousin and close friend, Angelo is a Type 1 Diabetic and I am riding for him. My father-in-law's estate is sending my wife's whole family (19 of us) to Cancun for one big fling before the Nana of the family is too old to travel or isn't with us anymore. She's at 77 years, but so was father-in-law when he passed away this summer, so her family wanted to build some new memories while she's still with us. Is there anything to do or place to go in Cancun that we absolutely should not miss? Any dangers or places to avoid? We'll be at some all inclusive beach resort that I can't even pronounce, but I think there is a water park near by. Ok, so I don't remember the actual day it started, but it was the middle of the month in February of 2006, so this is close enough. With the winter just around the corner, I've been pondering about snow/winter tires for my car. While I never had real issues driving in snow/winter, with my daughter around now, I'm wondering if it's a worthwhile investment to get snow/winter tires. So if anyone here can share their experience with them, I greatly appreciate it.

My girlfriend's office was moved to a different part of the floor and ever since the move she has had massive headaches and all the typical symptoms of an allergic reaction. It affected her to the point where she was doing 20% of the work that she normally did in a day and felt better after taking anti histamines (benadryl) and leaving the office. She requested HR to send out an email requesting the employees not wear perfume to work as there were a few that were bathing in it. That didn't seem to stop it. I'm very sad to report that our very own Carl Stephen "ironbut" Koto passed away on July 2, presumably from the lung cancer he informed us about in late May. Several of us have been concerned about his absence and both Ric and I (and maybe others) tried calling him to no avail, eventually receiving notice that the line was no longer in service. I tried searching for information but did not find anything until this morning I finally found a death notice for Carl Koto in Eugene, Oregon at age 66, and that must be him. 😢 Steve was a great and gentle guy and a fantastic Head-caser. I'm thinking about getting one of these to gain better access to my attic: Products The largest model is 4' x 6' and lifts up to 750 pounds. Cost is $2,595 plus shipping, so nearly $3k to Florida. I know there are more than a few of you on here. My grandfather was a woodworker by hobby, and also worked in boatyards (old lakeside marinas selling/servicing Shepherd, Chris-Craft, Century type boats) from the late 40s, though early 60s. I acquired a small stash of lumber from him in the mid 70s, consisting mostly of 5/4 rough oak and mahogany, with a few other odd bits. Sadly, he had cut several longer planks down to about 4' to fit the trunk of his car. Some of the boards were odd material, and all were fairly dusty and dirty. On the way to the Philippines on 12/14 I will be in O'Hare from around 8am until my flight at 2pm.
