  1. Started by Voltron,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STRETCH! We really have to get you to start drinking in the morning, because you are all out of sync down there and don't hang around like you used to. Hope you have a great birthday Stetch, and save your birthday Rand for a meetup stateside one of these days! Cheers!

In my line of work sometimes I got to brush shoulder with them. Most of them are quite nice. Some that I could remember (and no, I'm not those guy that stands outside a glitzy club waiting for them) : - Paris Hilton : contrary to popular beliefs, she has a sweet sweet personality. Readily to take all the requests for picture or autograph. A bit too welcoming IMHO. - Jamie Foxx : nice guy too - Leo Caprio : very reserve bloke. Never seen him entertaining requests for pictures or autograph. Though the way he turn the request down was very polite. - Eva Longoria : Usually will entertain peoples request for pic but can be quite rude sometimes. Gorgeous in real life as …

  3. Started by Yikes,

Some of you may be aware that in mid April I had Gastrointestinal bypass surgery. It appeared to go really well. I was recovering/responding better than anyone I've ever heard of. Then in May A Gout flareup started (I'd never been officially diagnosed with Gout, but I might have had 3-4 brief (2-3 day) flareups over the last 15 years), it was misdiagnosed at the ER which directly resulted in my having a severe G.I. bleed. I ended up almost dying, spent six days in the hospital (where I received 12 units of Plasma and 9 Units of Whole Blood). To make a long story shorter I'm still fighting the same Gout Flareup. 3 Fucking months and on-going. The last month I've been on…

Wow, almost missed it! Happy birthday. Hope you had a great day!

  7. Hey everyone- I'm in a bit of a pickle. I've run out of kick ass speculative fiction to read, and I need recommendations. Sci-fi/fantasy is such a scary genre to navigate. One second a book's premise seems promising, but then it delves into childish writing and predictable situations. I'm a short way into Peter Brett's The Warded Man, and it reminded me of these types of pitfalls. Of course it is hard to trust amazon-type reviews of fantasy, because not all fantasy readers are as discerning as me, you, and everyone else who likes good things. Anyway the premise starts out awesome: demons come out every night and try to kill people. The only thing the protects pe…

  12. Started by Thaddy,

Remember me? Well, I'm back. I recently picked up a PS Audio DL III, some HD650's, and ordered a WA2 from Mr. Woo. I forgot that other place is filled with awkward teenagers and ESL students, at which point I remembered Head-Case and had that n_maher dude reset my password (thanks Nate!). So, this is where you all say "welcome back, Thaddy."

Born 07:51 8lbs 6oz 19.5" Everything went super smooth and mommy and baby are doing very well. It's almost strange how quick and easy things went (from my perspective at least, wife I am sure would say otherwise). Couple days to recover from C-section in hospital then everyone should be coming home. And without further ado......

Sorry if there is already a topic on this, but I couldn't find it. Anyhow, a woman robs a bank and not only leaves her debit card, but writes the note on the back of a prescription... in her name FBI: Bank robber leaves debit card behind - Chicago Breaking News

  15. Started by cetoole,

I am flying down to Montgomery, AL tomorrow to drive my grandparents up to Boston (well technically, Reading) MA, and will be staying there for a few days before heading home. The main point of this trip is to get my grandparents to my Uncle and new Aunt's house, and to see my new (about two week old) cousin, but there will definitely be some time to see other things in the area. Only been to Boston once before for a few days, so any suggestions are appreciated.

I don't know if any of you know of Tuli or the Fugs, but I knew and loved the man, and what's strange is that I'd been thinking about him a lot the last month for no reason that I could figure. I found out today that he passed. RIP Tuli. Fugs Co-Founder Kupferberg Passes - by Marc Tracy > Tablet Magazine - A New Read on Jewish Life

this mourning at 4:30am water decided to travel up my sewer and all over the place. i was on the net when i heard some bubbling noise in back of me, when i turned around and seen water making its way past my door. i didn't know what to do, move my stuff to higher ground or try to stop the water. i ran to the to drains in the basement and seen a mini version of the Bellagio Fountain's only without the Bocelli (if Bocelli would of been playing at the same time it would of just confused me more..alot more). so what do i do stop the fountains or move my stuff? finally i did what Sean Connery would do on the Rect October..used Combat tatics...plug the drains! plug the drains!…
