Hi everyone. I'm a new member to Headcase due to the drastic changes to Head-Fi after Jude overhauled the entire forum. Looks like many of the members of Head-Fi are here already. Hope to get to know everyone else on this end that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet.

This forum looks like the real deal. If I read another "FWIR" or "after 175 hours of burn-in" on HF, I'm going to vomit - not literally, but you get my drift. Yeah, pointless thread.... just venting. I like headphones. I have money so I can buy them. I'm interested in finding out more about electrostatics and the holy grail of headphone sound. I've bought and sold thousands of dollars worth of speakers, amps, dacs, and gadgets in the pursuit of perfect, affordable sound. I think I'm getting closer with headphones, but the journey has been trying with some questionable info/advice from HF. I enjoy the honesty here.

I'm in full-out avoidance mode. I should be working, but I'm playing around on the Internet instead. I bumped into this article, and thought it interesting. What does your sleep position reveal about your personality? - Healthy Living on Shine I'm not much into the "this is what this means about you," and quite frankly think it's bullhooey, but I've always been curious about sleeping positions. I almost never move once I'm asleep, and can generally wake up hours later without a wrinkle on the sheets. According to this pic, I'm a starfish sleeper about 80% of the time, though my hands are often under my head or on my chest like a corpse in a coffin. The other …

Folks, i will be in conus for work and my point of exit will be SFO or LAX. I'm longing to audience a BHSE or WES. I will be bringing back an O2 and looking to try it with BHSE and/or WES. Any member kind enough to accept my visit and let me audience his/her valuable amp? Either SFO or LA (Cal area) should be fine. Thanks

I know there are more than a few of you on here. My grandfather was a woodworker by hobby, and also worked in boatyards (old lakeside marinas selling/servicing Shepherd, Chris-Craft, Century type boats) from the late 40s, though early 60s. I acquired a small stash of lumber from him in the mid 70s, consisting mostly of 5/4 rough oak and mahogany, with a few other odd bits. Sadly, he had cut several longer planks down to about 4' to fit the trunk of his car. Some of the boards were odd material, and all were fairly dusty and dirty. Most are reasonably flat, but a few are somewhat warped, or have big knots and/or checking, so have gone largely unused this whole tim…

On second thought, forget the cake and let's go straight for the Negronis! It is officially your birthday from my rather weak reckoning, so I hope it proceeds in a jolly fashion and you have a couple buckets of said cocktails in celebration. Cheers!

Sennheiser or AKG or any of those headphone companies come up with supposedly audiophile grade wireless headphone then I believe the following would happen: 1. Big war on HF, cable vs wireless 2. Snake oil company will come up with "atmosphere treatment" so that RF will travel more freely and no interruption on the air thus increasing SQ What else you guys reckon would happens ?

Ok I am a little scared to post on these forums, but I think I have pretty thick skin and I can take it...... I have lurked around here since falling in love with headphones, but in all honesty was a little intimidated to post. I finally joined. Read the welcome PM 50 times to make sure I didn't miss anything that will get me banned or just embarass myself. This is a forum of freindship and I hope I can fit in somewhere along the way. I know a lot of you from other forums such as head-fi. I have been married for 16 years and have two beautiful children, Tori 14, and Wade 9. We share our jungle with a gigantic Bloodhound, a Jack Russell Terrier, Pomeranian, Ragdo…

I woke up to this. Pretty cool and mostly harmless since it is situated right between two glaciers which means little to no flooding.
